StreamFab v6.1.2.5: Disney+ Resolution Selection Issues + Atmos 2.0 Fails

So just like with Hulu, the news of 1080p/H265 has made me start downloading from Disney+. In the past year, i have downloaded maybe 2 things.

A hint from another forum led me to believe older Marvel releases might be available in 1080p. Indeed they are. Phase 4 before Hawkeye seems to be available in 1080p.

Phase 3 is also available but not Spider-Man (probably because it's technically Sony property).

Going through a bunch of the Marvel stuff, the resolution selection suddenly stopped and the pop-up didn't even have the dropdown. I had to close StreamFab and reopen it to get the resolution/bitrate dropdown back.

At first, i was trying to download the Multichannel Atmos but every single download failed. It also said Atmos 2.0 which is something i have never seen.



When trying Multichannel EAC3, It did download but it said it was downloading EAC3 2.0.

The resulting file however is 5.1 Audio.

Weirdly enough, my log file doesn't show any of the session before i closed and restarted it so idk what happened there.

I will try again with Atmos and see if it was just a fluke.

P.S.: Once again, the H265 bitrates are overkill IMHO. The scene H264 file size is 2.58GB @ 7469 kb/s while the lowest H265 bitrate i could choose on Disney+ is 6435 kb/s for a file size of 2.12GB

If you do some country hopping on HBOMAX....the Spider-Man movies are there in 1080p. Off hand, I don't remember the exact countries.

Ya i was able to download the Atmos and it is 5.1 even though StreamFab claims it's 2.0

Like i said, i haven't really used the Disney+ downloader except for maybe twice to get a single movie but i find it extremely wonky.

Sometimes, it tries to download the audio first (The first orange pill that shows is the audio) and that always results in a fail.

Other times, it will show the video resolution first an just sit there at 0% forever. When that happens, if this was the only think waiting to download and you pause/stop it and then try something else, it will also sit at 0%.

But if you start to download something and click on something else to download (or start the whole queue), and it sits at 0%, when you pause that, the next one will work.

And finally, after that happened, it downloaded 3 more episodes and then StreamFab crashed.

Is this module always this bad or is it just this version with the new features that is just not ready for primetime?

I missed that H265 selection was under the regular Settings -> VIP menu.... I downloaded a bunch of stuff (H264), all came down just fine, the only issue was the GUI saying ATMOS 2.0, when the resulting file was ATMOS 5.1 (6 channel EAC3 JOC/DD+ Atmos)

Thus far I have gotten nothing with h265, but I did ensure to select h265 in the settings. I assume they have not converted everything to h265.
I also have to select multichannel every time, it defaults to stereo. Knowing that I have to check it now every time in general, not a big deal at the moment.

I tried to download everything again, as h265. They all failed. So I'll stick with h264 for now

If you stick with shows prior to July 2022...you should be OK. It would be nice if new keys were added, but with Disney...that could get expensive.

The Movies I'm getting these errors on are:
Avatar: The Way Of Water
Guardians of the Galaxy
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2
Marvel Studio's Avengers: Endgame
Ant-Man and the Wasp

and a few other marvel titles.

The errors are only when I set to download from Disney+ as H265, when set H264, no issues.
