    Where's H265 SDR in Netflix?

I'm trying to understand why I can't download a video with H265 SDR whereas everything else works; H265 HDR10, Dolby Vision, and VP9. An episode of FUBAR is what I downloaded.

Do you mean that the download process failed or that the downloaded file is not H265 SDR?

Please provide more info along with the StreamFab.log file, thanks.

I have mentioned this several times in several different posts.

Netflix H265 SDR no longer works. It will always download H264 instead. It's easy to replicate. Just look for anything Netflix original (with the red N on the movie/show image). It will download in HDR but never H265 SDR. Try the TV Show Who is Erin Carter. H265 HDR works fine but not H265 SDR.

There is also a big issue with H265 HDR not being available on shows that previously had it. For example, the TV show Dark. I downloaded it in H265 HDR with either v6.1.0.4 or v6.1.0.5. If i try to download it now with v6.1.4.1, i can only get H264.

It may mean Netflix has moved older shows to a different H265 profile or something broke in StreamFab along the way. Maybe they have a profile that now combines H265 HDR and DV? That would be great but we need StreamFab to see why older shows that used to have H265 no longer do

It seems the H265 SDR isn't an option anywhere on Netflix. Not sure if it's a StreamFab issue. Back in May, I downloaded the first season of the Sandman in H265 SDR settings. I can't remember which version it was at the time. I just downloaded an episode of Sandman, with the settings of H265 SDR. But it didn't, downloaded with H264 instead. Click image for larger version

Has Mona passed this issue on yet? Is it something NF locked out or do we think it's just an update in their protocol that needs to be looked at?

Yes. It's been passed on to the developers.
