Is there a way to change "S01" to "Season 01" or eliminate that folder?

S01 is not recognized by plex so that forces me to have to move all the files to the root folder. Not a big deal but would be handy not to have to do that. I looked through the settings, am I just missing it? thanks.

My plex dl are always in root, because my "Default Name Template" starts with ..\ (see also here)

To be clear I mean the root of the show folder. So the goal is to have this.

      SHOW_NAME
      --Files

So either no S01 at all or change S01 to Season 01.

        I've never "SHOW_NAME" with plex downloads -
or do you mean dl from otherwhere?
        Then I have misunderstood ..

.. then customize the template as you like:

        ..\show.name\episode.name

or whatever (see preview in settings)

That's the issue. If it were \show.name\episode.name that would be great. But it's not, it's \show.name\S01\episode.name . Plex does not recognize "S01". "Season 01" it does or no season folders. But "S01" causes an issue, or lets say an extra step.

Is it too difficult for you to insert ..\ before show.name, or what is your problem?

            Default is: show.name _ S season.num E episode.num _ episode.name
and SF generate automatically S01\ before the template name

Place the cursor before show.name and type ..\
click OK and S01 Folder is away for new DLs.

If you prefer "Season 01" Directory instead S01 then write in template:

Click image for larger version Name:	season_instead_s01.jpg Views:	0 Size:	14.9 KB ID:	451129

Thanks! We were talking the same thing but I was not getting what you were laying down. I was not aware anything but a variable could be in those fields. I tried ..\ and that worked perfectly! Thank you!

Use filebot to rename your files. works a treat for plex
