How can you tell the difference between download mode and recording mode?
"Newer titles." So am I correct in concluding that NF pre-encrypts their titles using whatever cdm version is current at the time? Newer titles might be on 2830, older titles on something earlier - and the chromecdm component is backwards compatible with earlier versions?
I'd like to understand a little better on how this works.
Not sure why that worked because I had already killed streamfab twice and retried but it seems to have worked so looks like i'm getting 1080p again with the beta on older stuff which is totally fine for me. Thanks!
If they can't crack Netflix's DRM, I wouldn't mind the "Recorded version." No matter what all the videophiles think, the picture quality was fine, and it only took a bit more time to recode it. Sure, it'sn't optimal, but it's better than 540p.
If 2830 is uncracked in SF, then NF hasn't gone to it.
If that's the case, then the 480/540 issue was something unrelated to DRM.
There is no 4.10.2830.0 in StreamFab\cdm\widevinecdm or StreamFab\CEF\WidevineCdm
But if you use 4.10.2710.0 in any Chrome Browser NF offer only 540p - see post #6
SF use a trick to dl >540p without using cdm 2830 ..
.. that's why Wilson wrote "the old released videos"
and Territory from yesterday cannot be dl >540p
