Thanks, Germania (<german>Danke Dir für den Hinweis</german>), but there are no updates available, as far as I can see, I'm on the latest Version...

        ...then you missed something. ;-)

I'll now focus in SF 6.2.0.5, as ist was released yesterday. I hope the problem is gone wtih this version.....?

Mac updates are rare.... ....this is why I use VMs of Win11. Worked nicely so far, till V6.0.24 came up.

Installed SF 6.2.0.5 now on my Parallels VM - when opening the amazon-tab, SF is NOT crashing like SF 6.2.0.4 did.

Therfore, I assume that there was a bug in SF 6.2.0.4 that was fixed in SF 6.2.0.5 - and it had no relation to the Paralles enviorment(?).

Curios to see if SF 6.2.0.5 will do downloads the way I'd like to see.... (?)

It seems that you are redirecting a folder from your Mac into the Windows VM. Go into settings of SF and point it to a folder on the C drive of the VM, not your Mac. Something like this, but to your C drive. Don't use your Documents folder, Parallels may be redirecting it to your Mac's Documents folder.

I did that till SF 6.2.0.4 was released. Then, because of the crashes, I "seperated" the two worlds "Win11" and Mac, in a way that there is no "pointing" or sharing of devices anymore.

Something like this, but to your C drive
This is exacly what I did, but it did not keep SF 6.2.0.4 from crashing as soon as I try to open an amazon-window.

Parallels may be redirecting it to your Mac's Documents folder.
Exactly. This is was Parallels does by default, which is a very nice feature and was working without any isses till SF 6.2.0.4 was released.

However, I "capsuled" Win11 from the Mac-environment (as described above), but SF 6.2.0.4 stll was crashing. Then, SF 6.2.0.5 was released (November 15th).
When installinng SF 6.2.0.5 in the very same environment, SF opens an amazon-window without crashing. It seems to work (haven't tried downloads yet).

As far as I can remember from my courses in software devolpemt (ages ago...) "segmentation fault" means that a software tried to write data to the computers RAM, but in an area ("segment") where it is not supposed or allowed to write to... ....and this causes the code to crash. At least I think I can remeber about this...

So my conclusion is: SF 6.2.0.4 causes an segmentation fault (at least in my setup), but SF 6.2.0.5 does not. Therefore, I assume there was da fix done from 6.2.0.4 to 6.2.0.5...

It's accessing a bit of memory that "does not belong to you" well the program in this case.

It's been a while since I've touched Parallels, but as I recall it does a Ram sharing thing too, instead of blocking out a section of RAM for the VM like other Hypervisors do. So, SF could have been trying to grab at some RAM it thought Windows had access to but didn't maybe.

Interestingly, that doesn't seem to occur in SF 6.2.0.5 anymore, and I doubt that the SF-devolpers focus on Parallels behavior....?

Yeah, in the end you can only come to guess as to why. As I said, I never had the issue at all with any streamfab version.

I am glad you finally got it to work with using 6.2.0.5.

I do know SF keeps making changes to the updated browser since they started that in 6202.
We are now at a file size for the streamfab installer of 708 MB (742,625,088 bytes).
                    6201 was at 485 MB (508,841,760 bytes).

In my limited last testing of 6201 and lower YouTube and other sites, don't know the whole list, only give you an error message.
                    An error similar to :

                    Code:
An error occurred. Please update your web browser and try again.
So the big browser update was and is needed.
What a waste of time, streamfab so-called support.

Thanks. I think this topic can be closed now.

...until the next update of SF shows up(?)
