Steaming Logins (passwords) not Saving on New Windows11 Setup_Help

Having moved from Win7 (I know), I set up a new machine with Windows 11 and SFv6.2.0.4, but this is new experience and I don’t know how the logins now work in SF to auto login to streaming sites. OnWin7 I just entered the information once and it seemed to just work from then on.

Currently it doesn’t seem like SF is saving the login info, since I have to re-enter it each time. Maybe I’m doing something wrong. A password manager (attached image) does popup but I don’t know if its something new for SF or part of Win11 so I’ve been skipping it. So…
    1. Is this the new SF behavior (requiring logins each time) or am I doing it wrong?
    2. If SF now uses this Password Manager, does it auto login or do I just use it to fill in the info (saving me from typing each time)?
    3. If the Password Manager is used, how do you access it to edit or remove information if needed?
I appreciate any help you knowledgeable folks can share!

for sites like Netflix, after you enter your email & password there's a checkbox that says "remember me"
    try that.

I appreciate that information. I made sure to have that box checked but it didn't work I still needed to sign in again when I exited the program.

I got to thinking, since it worked with SF 6.2.0.1 (before the browser engine update), why not try that, then upgrade. But again it still didn't save login info with that version either. I even tried copying the SF settings from the Documents and Roaming from the Win7 folders (thinking the login info was maybe saved there somewhere), but this didn't work either.

I'm now leaning towards it being an issue with my Windows 11.

Where is your cache located? In OneDrive?

look in SF: Settings - General - "Temp Directory"

Otherwise try to rename your cache - like here

Thanks Germania, you were pretty much spot on. Though the cache wasn’t on OneDrive, I did change Temp Directory to an external drive. I thought it would be more efficient to have the temp files on the same drive as the downloads..

Since I changed the temp location immediately after installing both versions of SF, I guess this caused the problem. It should’ve been fine, but maybe the external drive letter changed or the mounting was slow, or it just didn’t like that location. Regardless SF is saving the login info now with the default location and I don’t want to mess with it.

Just note, the files I copied from the my old setup didn't keep any login info, but did copy my SF settings. Also moving to 6.2.0.4 (probably starting 6.2.0.2 and newer with the new CEF) all login info needed to be entered once again, and the new versions prompt the password manager shown in the top post, but it is not needed for SF to keep auto login.

So again thank you for the help, it was key to resolving this problem!
