Are you maybe using an ad blocker DNS or maybe your ISP default DNS is blocking, or maybe you have a VPN running, many of them want to include not only ad blocking and/or malware blocking by changing the DNS. I have the best success just using Open DNS.

I do normally have a vpn running, but for the purpose of sorting this today, I haven't had it enabled at all. I thought I'd give something else a go, and tried out a port detector. It's flagged something up, but the port it's using isn't conflicting with another program, so I don't know if this is the cause of my issues or not.

Atp I don't know what else to do except to save my files and documents and do a complete reinstall of windows, even then I don't know if that will help,

If so - you must have other background process that block ..
.. never a problem for me with any SF version

I completely removed BD from my computer earlier today after you suggested that it's firewall settings could be the issue. I now only have Windows Defender on my computer, which I also disabled at one point to try and rectify that issue. When that didn't work, I re-enabled it, however added rules to allowed the YT files to bypass firewall and antvirus scans.

    First, just try a reboot.

If not then try to go to Windows settings and in search there type network reset, this will reset things on Windows for network.
    Then REBOOT.

Doubt there is anything else but power cycle your modem/router. And note some routers have firewalls, but for that you may need detailed tech support, unless you know your router well.
Okay, I did what your suggested with the same result.
Today alone I must have done a complete uninstall and fresh install of SF at least 10 times to try and sort this issue, both with firewall enabled and without. Also, my router doesn't come with any built in firewall. I've restarted my computer numerous, I even did a repair install of Windows in case that was the issue. I don't know what else I can physically do to get SF to work so that I can download playlists (which is what led me down this rabbit hole to begin with)

Apologies, but I don't see how I can overcome this when the firewall is definitely off , on both public and private networks, as was shown in the screenshot. I also added SF as an exclusion to AV scans within Windows Defender. Is it possible that a firewall is still active even when switched off?

Okay, I've completely uninstalled BD and have disabled Windows Defender Firewall (which wasn't enabled whilst BD was installed). I am still no further forward. I don't understand why I'm getting a Firewall warning when I currently don't have a Firewall running (?) Click image for larger version

I don't see any difference in your log

Either BitDefender has not disabled the Windows Firewall
or it is ignoring your setting or treating the file as malware.

Just try it after (temporary) deactivating BitDefender
and if necessary the Windows Firewall

I added the missing rule to Bitdefender. I even disabled the firewall at one point and did a fresh install of SF and I'm still getting the same error message. I don't know where I'm going wrong. Bitdefender is the only security modules that are running on my pc.
