Apple TV+ Support for Apple TV+ rental movies?

Hi - it looks like StreamFab does not support downloading movies rented from Apple, is that correct?

Correct

You can dl only movies or series with info "stream @ ATV+"
instead "buy/rent @ ATV" at JustWatch (require iTunes)

AppleTV+ and iTunes have sort of fused together so all Buy/Rental titels have the same URL as the AppleTV+ titles.

Once the movie is bought that url becomes playable with the exact same login way/creds as AppleTV+

and you get license (for Key to decrypt) without iTunes?

I can get the keys for SD and audio manually ..
.. but I haven't been able to do that for rented titles yet

Yeah,

The title does need to be bought or rented first in AppleTV (modern iTunes - different than AppleTV+). Also the SF Devs need to adjust the AppleTV+ Tool and fuse iTunes/AppleTV into one service tool.
