HBO Max HBO Max downloads

im on latest version and have this problem with HBO MAX

first of all analyzing takes lot of time ,sometimes it keeps analyzing and sometimes works ok. Now the problem on specific show "big bang theory" although settings picked are 1080p/264/mkv some seasons are 1080p some 720p and some have both resolutions. can someone check if you get same results.

s1 was 1080p full,
s3 has both and
s10 full 720p

also noticed in download queue for a split second status after analyzing it changes to download and at once goes back to analyzing and again download where it starts downloading

what is causing this mess? hbo itself? streamfab plugin?

Results from HBO Max in USA:

s01 is offered in H264 1080p + 720p (partially also 900p)
s03 is offered in H264 1080p + 720p
s10 is only offered in H264 720p

SF cannot influence what Max offers

Unfortunately, this is normal, as a special mpd must first be determined
that enables EAC3 and if offered 4k (it's different as the offer in Chrome)

Don't know what you mean with SF plugin and it's not influenced by HBO

A Correction regarding s10- it has 3 episodes 1080p and the rest 720p.

How is a show offering both 720p and 1080p but downloads are mostly 720p?. And also in same season some episodes are 1080p and the rest 720p?

season 1+2+7 are downloaded in full 1080p and then the rest seasons are mixed.

is streamfab failing to grab the 1080p for some reason and goes to the next possible resolution? and why not grabbing the 900p ?

just tried season 10 episodes 1/2/12 if you want to give it a try.

ep 1 : h264-720p / h265-1080p
ep 2: h264-720p / h265-1080p
ep 12: h264-1080p / h265- failed? size 39mb and its something entirely different

However, in any case Max is the only provider for me
where occasionally repeating a download with the
same settings can lead to different results.

can you try ep1 or ep2 where im getting 720p for h264 to see if you get the 1080p?

No one can get this from Max because Max doesn't offer it.

You can force the analyzing of a single episode
with manually analyzing during playing - so you get "Movie Mode"

I (and presumably SF) have no leverage to blackmail HBO Max or force them to do anything.

but its strange to have 4 episodes as 1080p and rest as 720p on same season

UPDATE: After checking all downloads seems HBO is a mess at least for this show. apart from mixed 720p/1080p episodes i found several small sized 30-45mb videos as the one showed in my previous post. And to get the correct episode had to analyze each episode separately and its naming was different without season/episode numbering.

I downloaded all 12 seasons of BBT in 1080p H265 off PrimeVideo in June 2024.

But no more offered included with PrimeVideo US/CA ..
In Germany at PrimeVideo, Netflix, Disney, RTL+
In UK at PrimeVideo, Netflix (only 10 seasons)
and many other countries ..

I downloaded all 12 seasons of BBT in 1080p H265 off PrimeVideo in June 2024.

Found it on amazon 1080p but without the subs i need..so ill extract subs from HBO to match with amazon's
