    Amazon Test Version

    Hello,

I'm currently still on v6.1.6.7 where this upscale/re-encode stuff isn't available. A few days ago, I noticed there's a test version out, claiming that downloading from Amazon is back to normal.

I've checked various threads but couldn't find exactly what I was looking for, so I waited to see if something relevant would pop up. Unfortunately, nothing came up or I missed it.

Now to my questions: Amazon: Is it true that you can now download newer stuff normally? Netflix: The upscale/re-encode thing seems to be there now. Does this apply to everything or just newer stuff, and can I still download older content normally?

I'll ignore anything written by cats4u and pretend he didn't add anything. I still want an apology. Since I haven't had much time lately, I wanted to settle this privately, but you can't message him. GG at this point.

    Thanks for your attention.

No, this only applies to EAC3 Audio, newer videos are re-encoded

Amazon and Netflix download the selected resolution and if there
is no key for decryption (newers titles) it use re-encoding.
If you use Amazon CVBR there is never upscaling.

Ah, I'm stupid. I overlooked that with the audio.

So that's already taken care of, thank you very much.
