StreamFab wont “BURN” subs into the video, that would take re-encoding it.
Instead, you can remux the subs into the file. Settings -> Preferences -> (scroll to VIP- Preferred Settings) -> Subtitle Action.
If you set to Remux into file, when the download is completed, the subtitles will be included in the file. You will have to toggle them on during playback. There is not a way in StreamFab to toggle on Forced Subs.
Also, if you remux subs into file and have issues, you might want to consider using MKV as the Video Format (under VIP Preferred Settings) as MKV is said to handle multiple audio streams and subtitles better than MP4. I use MKV(MKVToolNix) as my video format setting, and subs work fine with FireTV, Roku and ShieldTV Pro.
