I've tried clicking on two different items (movie and TV episode). Both try to add it to the queue using the DRM MPD downloader rather than the HBOMax or Max downloader. (I have only the three free trials on DRM MPD, but a lifetime subscription to the HBOMax downloader. Regardless, the DRM MPD downloader fails.) On Shazam!: Fury of the Gods, for example, the Cancel, Add to Queue, and Download Now dialog box refuses to exit after you click one of the buttons, and there is a failure dialog box behind it.) Selecting Add to Queue does add it to the queue, but then fails to download it ("Failure accessing video from the streaming website" error message).The big issue appears to be that--although we're being successfully transferred to the MAX site and logged in by clicking the StreamFab HBOMax icon--the link to the correct downloader isn't happening and DRM MPD doesn't work.Notes1. If I perform the same action in Microsoft Edge, I'm transferred from HBOMax, automatically logged into the new MAX, and the same selected movies plays correctly in the browser.)2. You were likely re-directed to the MAX web site. Using the "current" (maybe old soon??) HBOMax downloader in Streamfab doesn't work on MAX yet.When I tried to log into HBOMax, it told me that MAX was here, re-directed me and logged me in. Using StreamFab, it takes me to the MAX page, and yes, it tries to download using MPD downloader and that doesn't work.Now that the new MAX page is live, we need to wait for the developers to work on it and fix StreamFab so it works with Max. I have no idea how long that will take.PS: You can subscribe to MAX via Amazon channels and download from StreamFab's Amazon downloader. You'll be able to also use those credentials to log into the MAX web site and app, so you'll be able to watch using the Max app on Roku/FireTV/AndroidTV and later download from Max if/when FAB fixes Streamfab.

HBO Max works for me,they won't change to just MAX until 2024 in Scandinavia + other European countries, they haven't given an exact date yet. So HBO MAX + Discovery+ are separate.

It will be interesting to see if FAB keeps the existing HBOMax downloader, and adds a MAX Downloader for those regions who have converted. OR if they change the current HBOMax downloader to be MAX (meaning those who haven't converted yet might be out of luck).

If they get it working and that's a big "if", it will only be Max, all other countries will be out of luck if Max is not enabled in their country. Use Amazon Prime for Max, or HBOMax, that will work. But then again they will have to get Amazon Prime working properly also.

If they don't recognize the domain, then it tries to find an MPD or a M3U8.HBO Max module recognizes hbomax.com but not max.com. So when it detects a video from max.com, it tries with DRM MPD or DRM M3U8.There is no problem to fix. They basically need to add a new module for Max. Just like when there used to be just HBO Go and then HBO Max launched. Because both were/are available simultaneously, they created a new module for HBO Max.Logic dictates that they should create a Max module for US customers while other regions can keep using the HBO Max module.This will 100% be in the release notes so there is no need to "keep trying" every new version if there is no mention in the release notes.

That statement was made 2 updates ago. At least on the Mac version 2 updates ago. I am up to version 6.1.2.5 released today with the same issue and I see more streamers are adapting the DASH MPD format that is killing the app. MAX last week for me and now Peacock.

There are plenty of dedicated modules that are working and the streamers are using MPEG-DASH MPD.

The MPD file just tells the player what resolutions, bitrates, subtitles are available and how they are split and other info on how to deliver the assets to the user.

It has nothing to do with the protection/DRM.

The only concern for me with MPEG-DASH is that the devs at StreamFab can't seem to understand that DASH subtitles come in a .mp4 format and there is a simple way of converting those to WebVTT, TTML, or SRT.

Discovery+ switched to DASH like a year ago and StreamFab still doesn't download the subtitles even though i gave step by step instructions on how to do it several times.

Maybe if this is the case with the new Max module, they will finally implement that since i assume there will be way more people using it so more complaints and the inevitable "works with the competitor" comments

I agree. They need to write something from scratch so it's not something that should, or even can, be rushed. I want them to get it right.

I hope for 1080p/H265 but there is no way to know if that will be the case. In the meantime, i will continue to use my Max Amazon Prime Channel but the varying bitrates is very annoying for someone that is borderline OC like me.

So far, i have seen 3 Max-tagged movies and a dozen TV episodes released on the scene in 1080p so it's promising but i won't hold my breath since we all know the state of 1080p in the old HBO Max module.

This has been well established in other recent posts here on this forum. It has been implied by Wilson.Wang that this will be corrected in the next update release.

Yes, that's what Wilson.Wang wrote on June 5th. Now there are two ways, that come to my head immediately, as to how to look at the phrase "next week". There is the Sunday through Saturday approach and the "after 7 days" approach. Since June 5th was a Monday, with the Sunday through Saturday approach, the fix could come anytime on or after Sunday June 11th and up to the end of the day on Saturday June 17th. Of course, some cultures start their week on Saturdays and others on Monday and so it would have to be adjusted accordingly. I believe the modern Chinese calendar starts its week on a Sunday. With the "after 7 days" approach, the next week would begin 7 days after Wilson.Wang wrote his statement, which would be Monday June 12th and the next week ending at the end of Sunday June 18th. Assuming that StreamFab is released most often on a Friday, if Wilson.Wang is being truthful and no last minute problems rear their ugly head, the fix for Max will probably be released on Friday June 16th.

I could not agree with you more. Very well said. If only more people here would understand that. The other thing they need to understand is that StreamFab has never promised to download from every streamer, large or small, in the whole wide world.

Happy to report that 6.1.2.7 is out, and it includes a Max downloader. Downloads appear limited to 720p, but that's fine for now. However, I'm getting quite a few repeated failures. Anyone have success downloading Barry, S4E8, X-Men: Days of Future Past, Grease, or The Hurt Locker? It allowed me to download 11 titles out of 20 before failing on everything else. Any chance that in the changeover to Max they've put new limits on the number of downloads?

Just to let you know, I did delete the entire program and re-installed, re set up my logins to each streaming service and it still did not work.

I think it works but only slightly, 720p HBOMax is not in the USA, maybe someone can say if it's working in their country so we dont have to use VPNs look all over.

I tried Brazil and Finland and they both still work with HBO Max. 1080p on a lot of older stuff and even 4K.
