I have tried downloading Avatar:The Way of the Water from MAX and have been unsuccessful each time. I was told that the ability to download from MAX is not available. Is that correct and if so how do we get notified when we can download from MAX?

Since the switch from HBOMax to MAX downloading is broken. It will be fixed in a future patch. Patches are posted on forum or check for updates in software. Supposed to be possibly as early as next week

If you have Disney+ you can get it there however it is 720p HD not 1080p.

Max is a "new service" with new DRM, even the competitor only does 720p for Max, and even then they are still working out some issues with theirs... So while I'd love to see 4K from FAB for Max like we had with HBOMax, I'm not sure what we'll get from FAB as a first release.

Thanks, I used H265 and HDR10. Let me try it again. Appreciated. Some codecs just do not work.

EDIT - It doesn't work in .mp4, it does however work in .mkv. I have my whole collection in .mp4 but it doesn't make any difference.

Isn't the native format mp4? If the user selects mkv it downloads the mp4 and then remuxes it.

Try to download Burden of Proof Season 1 episode 3 or 4 in .mp4, then you will understand my issue.

Yup. Can't believe they REPLACED HBOMax downloader with MAX since MAX has only launched in select regions, and HBOMax is still available everywhere else.
I would have thought they would have kept HBOMax downloader and just added MAX downloader as a new module, then removed HBOMax when MAX is available everywhere.

And I assume HBONow and HBO Europe will go away from SF after those areas have been convert to Max?
