UHD Drive Tool Downgrade not finishing

I have a two LG WH16NS60 drives and one of them started having read issues, so tried using the UHD Drive Tool 2.1.0.3 and DVDFab 12.1.1.5 to reflash the drive.
I have flashed this drive many times before using the tool and never had an issue. It's so much easier than flashing it manually.

The firmware starts to flash, but isn't finishing.
I've tried rebooting and reinstalling DVDFab, but it still won't flash.
I'm afraid to try and flash the other drive to see if it's the drive having the problem or if it's the software.

I'm attaching the logs for your review.

I may try DVDFab 13 to see if that'll work.

My pc is running Windows 11 Pro 22H2.

Any help is appreciated.

The LG drive doesn't have a safe mode or I couldn't get into it.
So I grabbed the latest LG official firmware 1.01 and flashed it.
I started DVDFab up, inserted a UHD disc, and got the "hey this drive needs an older firmware version. please use UHD downgrade tool" message.

I removed the UHD disc, opened the UHD downgrade tool, and started to flash the 1.00 version.
The flashing processed froze at the same point, leaving the disc tray open. It doesn't complete the flashing process.
Windows 11 task manager shows no activity in DVDFab, nor the UHD Tool.
The UHD Tool log also stops at "Crypto Policy". That's the same spot it's been stopping at.
I've attached the latest log file for your review.

So I grabbed the latest LG official firmware 1.01 and flashed it.

if the drive is having read issues, that's usually a sign that the drives laser is starting to fail.
have you tried using a laser lens cleaner ??

I have cleaned the laser lens.
Most of the time I just need to clean the UHD discs with soap, which then allows the disc to read, but not always.

I finally got the LG drive to flash with version 1.00.

I grabbed the wrong Official LG firmware file originally.
After getting the correct file for the LG WH16NS60, I was able to flash it to version 1.1, then use the UHD Tool to flash it to 1.0.

Now to the problem.
The UHD Tool was flashing properly, but the drive tray never closes, so the program never finishes and never tells you it's finished.
So I have to use Task Manager to exit the UHD Tool then exit DVDFab, then restart the pc, and it will show as flashed if you look at the firmware version from within DVDFab>Settings.

Someone at DVDFab needs to figure out why the drive tray isn't closing, allowing the UHD Tool to finish correctly and fix that issue.
I'm happy to help them with whatever they need. I do not want to go back to the old school method of flashing cd drives. :D

The UHD Tool did flash the drive correctly the first time, but since I was just re-flashing with the same Version #, I couldn't tell if it actually flashed.
So I flashed the drive to LG's 1.1 version, then used the UHD Tool to flash it to 1.0 and saw in DVDFab that it was on version 1.0.
I then ripped a UHD disc and confirmed it ripped correctly.
So there is problem with the UHD Tool, but it is flashing in the background.

Any update from the developers on this issue?
I haven't tried to use the UHD Tool since having the issue.

Would like to know if something was found and fixed before trying to use again.
