(SF for Windows 6224) PlutoTV + Subtitles Issue

Didn't see anything reported on this in the last six months so I thought I should mention it...if it's already a reported issue I apologize.

For some time now, acquisitions from PlutoTV have not been giving the "complete" SRT files after processing has been completed. I've been noticing this for a while but it's been low on my to-report list as I've got so many other things going on in my Life.

I think the problem lies, with TV shows, where commercial breaks take place. For example, in a file I acquired back at the end of September of last year, the SRT file only went as far as after the opening credits of a show. Then nothing. I've checked other files I've acquired since then and the same pattern is repeating.

Movie files have had varying results. Today I acquired one where the SRT file appears to be fine; some (but not all) older ones only go so as maybe the 13-minute mark and then stop, probably where PlutoTV would force a commercial break. Perhaps the problem has been fixed for movies but not TV shows?

I'm going to be acquiring more movies with 6224 to test my theory, but I think it's safe to say the problem with incomplete SRT files for TV shows acquired through PlutoTV is still a very real thing.

Yes, I see it too, If using Extract to SRT file.
The crazy thing is if I switch to 'Remux into file' then you get subtitles through the whole show.
So if you're ok with that option, then use that.
Otherwise, who knows when that may get fixed?

I guess you're not willing to try 'Remux into file'.
I am in the USA and got full-length subtitles in shows, with 'Remux into file'.
Using 'Extract to SRT file' gave me the same result as you, they cut off.
If that ever gets fixed, it may be a long wait.

If you need Extract to SRT file, then send in a support ticket and try to explain what's going on. (feedback/support)
Maybe also let them know this affects USA access to Pluto. As other locations are having more/different issues.

Back when I first started getting into this...hobby...I was remuxing everything into the original file, back before I knew about external subtitle files. Then when I noticed some captions were not showing at all (or were showing with weird characters), I started becoming more of a control freak, and started using software to edit external subtitle files as-needed.

Most of the streaming services SF has modules for handles the external subtitles just fine. The only ones I have a problem with (for the USA) are Pluto and Tubi (the latter having the occasional glitch of having the end of the file corrupted, which can be fixed but it's extra work I'd like to not have to do at some point).

Given that I'm sure there's still bigger fish to fry, I don't want to push the issue. If I'm deperate there are sites I can go to to get them, but as the files I get from those sites are lower-quality compared to the "premium" sites, my attention right now is on those "premium" sites.

Ok, I get it now. I personally very rarely have issues with remux subtitles, but I am sure there are sites or issues I have not come across.
I just know I doubt it's even on SF radar and if it is, it is low priority as there are more issues with SF then they care to reveal.
In the end, do what works best. As you may note, there are sites that let you just download srt, like opensubtitles and there are others, try Google.
