Mid-Day Update broke everything

Looks like they rolled out a midday update, pretty much breaking everything. (or we still have not gotten past the detection issue, thus somewhat soft-locking my account.)
No updates to yt-dlp, so the waiting game begins.

I was getting error 403 several times before it broke completely.
(The other YT downloader I use only sees h264)

SF can only wait for a yt-dlp fix ..
.. or do you think SF would develop something of its own?

Maybe not effecting everyone, or jdownloder2 can be used as it lets me download from YT and get av1 or vp9 if available.

JD2 hasn't been working for me since at least 6 hours ago.

No something been screwy with the youtube downloader for weeks now. What i have observed hasnt changed. This isnt new as of yesterday, i downloaded 10 videos last night but they were all older than 3 days: No mewer videos would go past analysis.

1) Downloads reset at approx 5 AM PST and caps out at about 100. At 5 AM everything about 24-48 hours old suddenly downloads. Older videos can sometimes download after this but nothing new will.

2)Older.videoa are atill able to be downloaded. It appears that new videos cant be downloaded until somewhere between 24-48 hours after posting

3) cap is not tied to either streamfab account nor youtube account. Nor IP address.

Correct, but SF can’t do that at the moment

btw: DRM-free downloads can also fail at any time ..
.. because yt-dlp offer only a temporary workaround

No it was not "always like this" you could easily download videos posted minutes ago until a couple of weeks ago.

Does seem they are having more issues and are aware of the issue, but no time frame as to when/if fixed.
Same with yt-dlp is looking into other fixes, but no time frame.
Since about 98% to 99% of YT downloaders are based on using yt-dlp, then everyone will have to wait till a fix comes to yt-dlp.
At first, it seemed JD2 was the answer, as not yt-dlp dependent, but they are crazy replying to use another YT downloader, which again, most are based on yt-dlp..
And JD2 seems to be totally stumped, at least yt-dlp is trying alternatives to get YT working again.

You need to wait until the new yt-dlp release is integrated in SF (as YoutubeToMP3Process) ..
.. perhaps in some hours

Thank you for uncovering all of this. Seems like YouTube is getting more and more aggressive about pushing people to pay the exorbitant cost of their subscription service if they wish to view content when offline - something that can easily occur during a lengthy grid-down situation.

Wow, that's sad. Glad I can use yt-dlp. And I like that yt-dlp is FREE.
Many have gone to extensions for YT, but they charge money; one is $20 per year.
Another is $45.95 lifetime.

I confirmed that yt-dlp is not updated an hour ago (post #13) and I don't know why

FYI - JD2 began working again just over 24 hours ago.
