What’s wrong with the English subtitle? Did you try to extract it or remux it? I just downloaded a season with extracted English subtitle in .ASS, worked fine.

For me Crunchy does not work at all, regardless of anime I cannot select any spoken language, its just emtpy. And all downloads simply fail

The processing options for non-embedded subtitles (soft subtitles) generate incomplete subtitle files. A portion of the subtitles is systematically missing towards the end of the video, regardless of the source (recent or older series).

Affected Options
The issue affects the following two options, which create external .ASS files:

• Remuxer dans un fichier (ASS)"
• Extraire vers un fichier (ASS)"

Justification and Verification
• The generated .ass files were opened and analyzed in a subtitle editor (such as Subtitle Edit), confirming the physical absence of the final lines of dialogue in the file.

• The missing content corresponds to the dialogues at the end of the video.

Functional Option (Counter-example)
The hardsubbing (burned-in subtitle) option:

• “Sous-titre incruster”

This option works perfectly and produces videos with the complete set of subtitles (with no loss), suggesting that the subtitle data is indeed present in the initial source.

Impact
The resulting external subtitle files are unusable for complete playback or subsequent editing.

I can confirm your error report. ASS subtitles are ending too early. Most of the time you won’t notice the missing parts, but sometimes the subtitles will end in the middle of one of the lst dialogues.

Since I’m collecting my videos with audio streams in German and the original language (i.e. Japanese) I can’t/don’t want to use hard subs. Usually I extract forced subtitles out of the normal subtitles (with ASS you can use the text styles to differentiate from normal dialogue) and safe them alongside to German and English (as backup language) full subtitles.

I have: StreamFab All-In-One (version 7.0.0.2) on the Crunchyroll platform. I noticed that after the URL analysis and choosing the options in the pop-up window, a waiting period of about 5 to 10 seconds is required before the download actually starts.

I also can confirm, that extracted subtitles are ending too soon.
With some subtitle files you could observe that there has to be some kind of interruption since the subtitles are ending very abrupt like with an error.
Somtimes the subtitle files are corrupted (error when remuxing). For example: When you try to open the file with subtitle edit you get an error message like “error at line 323”. When you confirm the massage you can see that there are just 289 lines in the file which are ending earlier than the incomplete time stamp.

Opening the file in Editor will show an incomplete time stamp –> can’t be recogized.

I think this has to be a hiccup of the re-encoding at the end of the download.

Good to see that this is a known issue. But let me provide more details.
(Because of this issue, I only tried one episode so far. Meaning I don’t know if it happens with all episodes, or just some.)
This one is with 7002, but I noticed it several versions ago, back in October.

It does not only cut off the end, but for some reason adds

ScaledBorderAndShadow: yes

at the beginning.

And for this episode, it removed three lines from the german subs, as shown in the picture. The english one has only the last line cut-off.

I cannot see why this issue exists at all, since the only thing it has to do is to rename the file from .txt to .ass. There is never a single point in time where it needs to alter the content of the file.

Just tried it with 7.0.1.9. I cannot tell if it is still an issue, as I only get the forced subs for quite some time now. Yes, I never reportet it.
If it cannot/is not going to be fixed, I would actually prefer the current state, as I can only download the full subs manually. I didn’t see how I could get the forced subs by hand. So if SF downloads the forced and I donwload the full subs by hand, it would be annoying, but better than before.
