Fandango at home 384kbps audio Fix

Hello,
my fandango at home purchases are limited to 256kbps 5.1 on certain titles. It appears to be grabbing the web manifest witch is out of date. Will there be a way to choose the tv manifest with h264 so all the audio will be corrected in the future?

Hi,

The both manifest of web and TV client should be same.

We can get to download the 4K video and Atmos audio quality now.

But for the audio stream, there is a difference rather than the other services.

The EAC3 Atmos audio quality is in the H265/4K MPD manifest files, but there is bug in StreamFab, maybe you can download the EAC3 audio quality only when trying to download the H264 video quality.

Anyway, please tell me the video title, so I can check it.

This entire season downloads 256kbps 5.1 when I use the Apple heads up display it shows aduio as 384kbps 5.1 meaning that that is the highest avaible.

Also this is 1080p h264 not h265. 1080p h264 can give 384kbps 5.1 as shown in the screenshot.

You see, so many videos have the Atmos audio quality in Fandango at Home, but only in the 4K version.

Just to clarify — when I mentioned audio quality, I wasn’t referring to Atmos or the 4K H.265 versions. I’m only talking about the standard Dolby Digital Plus audio on the 1080p H.264 versions.

On the TV app, the show plays in 384 kbps 5.1, but when downloaded through StreamFab, it only comes through as 256 kbps 5.1. The web manifest also lists 256 kbps 5.1, while the TV app clearly accesses 384 kbps 5.1.

This suggests that the TV app is pulling from a different manifest than the web version, since the web manifest doesn’t include the 384 kbps 5.1 track.

Yes that’s the manifest it’s grabbing from, the web, not the tv.

For now, the downloaded quality is based the manifest of the Chrome/Edge.

But we may check it in future, but only on the Android TV or TV Box.
