I am a paid user. For months on end (edited in 1/1/26) I have been trying to file a ticket in regards to how StreamFab's scheduled task feature outright crashes the program. Similar to [this topic](https://forum.dvdfab.cn/d/469847-you-tube-subscriptions), should I add a Japanese or Korean channel in scheduled, on the next start-up, StreamFab ends up crashing. Thanks to this, I can no longer use StreamFab unless I do a _clean_ installation. It might happen for any channel, really, but this is just an example of what is happening with me specifically. Along with this, from the ticket I filed last September: - The subscriber list does not properly update - on every boot the list will "attempt to update" but will never update until you add a new YouTube channel (since version 6.2) / adding a new channel does not force-refresh it (since version 7.0) - The subscriber list also "adds empty playlists" when it actually updates and, when you attempt to clear the task this way, StreamFab crashes (since version 6.2) - When adding a new YouTube channel to the subscriber list, sometimes it downloads [many] videos from the past instead of what is recent (before version 7.0) - The whole YouTube section has a single refresh icon. I updated to 7.0.0.0 fearing that the problems I reported didn't get fixed. This seems to be the case for the most part. Using the data I had on version 6.2.6.7, I noticed there was a dummy task below the rest of the channels I am subscribed to. Manually removing all channels and re-adding them seemed to circumvent this issue should I start up StreamFab again. At least it does not crash anymore (I think, I have to keep experimenting), which I am thankful for. So now the current issues are: - The subscriber list does not properly update - on every boot the list will “attempt to update” but will never do so, adding a new channel does not force-refresh the rest as of this update - The subscriber list sometimes “adds empty playlists” when it actually updates and, when you attempt to clear the task this way, StreamFab crashes (unsure) - When adding a new YouTube channel to the subscriber list, sometimes it downloads [many] videos from the past instead of what is recent (unsure) - The whole YouTube section has a single refresh icon. Scheduled task feature crashes StreamFab

I am having a problem downloading videos with Streamfab from you tube. It’s going on for 2 weeks, downloads all FAIL. I opened 2 tickets to find a solution but I still have no resolution. Not computer saavy but I tried everything, and from the posts on this site I see I am not the only one. When I opened my last ticket I was instructed to go to the feedback page to look for a resolution!! Still haven’t found one!

I can confirm that the new version 6.2.6.2 did not fix the problem.

So far though it has not crashed but it does hang when loading task queue on boot. Only one of the YouTube channels I am “subscribed” to this way only loads up and nothing else. This used to be true in certain previous versions - and, to add, this does usually crash when left untouched for a set amount of time.

To Chameleon this has been happening for quite a few months now - not just three releases. With every crash I get, it’s supposed to send a report (which contains the logs), right? I was supposed to get the impression the logs that get sent after every single crash would have allowed the developer(s) to figure out what’s causing it and to come up with a workaround.

Well, I was attempting to find a work-around to the problem I have. When StreamFab crashes, certain processors (YouTubeToMP3Service.exe) do not properly close / end its task. Yes, this does include the +4 service processors that run endlessly when all tasks are done and there’s no current tasks running.

The subscribe data folder (assuming you are using Windows) is located at
C:\Users\name\AppData\Roaming\DVDFab\StreamFab\subscribedata

Renaming the ytbsubscribe file (not editing it internally) temporarily clears the scheduled task - but you cannot rename it while StreamFab is open as the current setting will make the program overwrite / delete it. Doing this - I can properly use StreamFab again without having to clean install it.

At least now I do not need to clean reinstall the thing for me to use StreamFab again and I can attempt to load said data on future updates to see if the problems I reported get fixed.

I’m not entirely sure what your problem is, but you should completely uninstall Streamfab and remove all traces of it.

That’s the problem. Referring to the post I started with (which says ’unless I do a clean installation"), I have continuously done this. Nothing has changed, nor do I think the developers actually know someone like me is still having major problems using StreamFab. To clarify, I use Revo Uninstaller as well.

I just want this issue fixed. Or, if possible, adding an option to cancel the current operation and allow it to retry without it updating the date when it attempted to check?

To make this worse, I did file a ticket before. All I got was the response “I’ll pass it to the developer” and I really don’t think they did if I am still experiencing it to this day.

I do not mind continuously posting here until the developers notice.

Yes, I did a clean reinstall. Yes, I did the same procedure.

I only ask for the developers to fix this - or at least provide a workaround (eg canceling the “checking” part and attempt to retry) - for us Windows 10 users.

I can confirm that the new version 7.0.0.7 did not fix the problem. Refer to this post here on what the issues are. Yes, I did a clean reinstall. I even waited until the supposedly reset happened based on both my settings and StreamFab’s normal schedules – something I normally do not want to do as more than two “YouTubeToMP3Service” processors run non-stop when using StreamFab and it causes a strain on my CPU.

To add to this, YouTube downloads are just failing outright. It’s happening to me too.
