I know it’s a large amount of data. But perhaps the developer could speed up the processing of 2160p videos on Disney+… I have the feeling that “Titanic,” at 3 hours, takes about the same amount of time as a 45-minute TV episode.

LOL … the 4K stuff has been fast here; however I can’t even get TITANIC here in the U.S. – really less than 5-10 minutes, not 45 minutes.

On my end it takes about 5 minutes to “process” a single 4k D+ download, regardless whether it’s on a Xeon E-2176M laptop or a Ryzen 5950X desktop (in both cases the TEMP folder is on a 64GB RAM disk on the same machine), and my download speed in each case is about 150-190MB/s

Vudu 4k, OTH, is about 50MB/s download and processing is a matter of seconds, AFAIR

A 45-minute episode at 3.5 GB takes almost as long as a feature film. Yes, “Titanic” at 3 hours and 23 GB takes a bit longer, that’s true. I need about 10 minutes for a TV series episode…

Overall, it seems to me that all modules take longer to process. That’s how it appears to me. Perhaps it’s also due to my NVMe SSD, which only has 7% of its lifespan left, thanks to Streamfab.

LOL… be careful with your NVME; they should never go below 5% free space as the spare space is used for error correction/swap. Drive may fail if filled too much. Seriously.

(OH! just noticed you said lifespan … seems like good time to get new drive before prices go up much more due to the AI price hike!)

Yes, I’ll be replacing it soon. I initially wanted to buy a 1TB hard drive on eBay for around €50, but I’ve been advised against it, as many are selling old drives as new.

I’m considering the Seagate FireCuda, either 1TB (around €100) or 2TB (around €165).
