**PROBLEM RESOLVED!** *Original post follows …* I'm in the United States and I have ad-free Disney+ bundled with Hulu and ESPN and can stream 4K on Google TV, but every 4K title that I've tried in StreamFab only shows me a max resolution of 1080 - am I missing a step or setting that would allow me to get 4K? * The attached logs show my attempts to get two titles today, Fantastic 4 First Steps, and Thunderbolts. * My internet speeds are great - 1.2Gbps inside StreamFab * I have no VPN. * I've cleared TEMP and LOGS folders to start fresh * My default Settings/Preferences/Disney Video Codec is H265-SDR but I also tried with the default set to DolbyVision and another time set to HDR10 * I've tried interactively toggling from H265 to H264 back to H265 and then selecting HDR10 or DV, but max resolution still tops at 1080p. * No matter how I've tried it, in no situation can I see a 4K resolution. I’m in the United States and I have ad-free Disney+ bundled with Hulu and ESPN and can stream 4K on Google TV, but every 4K title that I’ve tried in StreamFab only shows me a max resolution of 1080 - am I missing a step or setting that would allow me to get 4K?

The attached logs show my attempts to get two titles today, Fantastic 4 First Steps, and Thunderbolts.
My internet speeds are great - 1.2Gbps inside StreamFab
I have no VPN.
I’ve cleared TEMP and LOGS folders to start fresh
My default Settings/Preferences/Disney Video Codec is H265-SDR but I also tried with the default set to DolbyVision and another time set to HDR10
I’ve tried interactively toggling from H265 to H264 back to H265 and then selecting HDR10 or DV, but max resolution still tops at 1080p.
No matter how I’ve tried it, in no situation can I see a 4K resolution.

Appreciate any help to figure out what I’m missing before I submit a ticket.

Why do you think you should be getting Disney+ in 4K?

I downloaded FFFS last night without any troubles in 4K. USA/no VPN; direct D+ account (not via third party).

I reviewed a lot of posts about Disney+ and don’t recall people saying if they had standalone/direct subscriptions or bundles. Wondering if somehow bundles are a problem. Back when Hulu offered 4K, with this same bundle I was able to get 4K from Hulu, if that makes any difference.

I’m not very familiar with how to read the logs, but I’m not seeing anything stand out. Hoping a guru here can point to something…

For those seeing 4K in the download dialog, what are you seeing as the default resolution on the Disney+ content page for Thurnderbolts, where I drew a red circle in the image below? Are you seeing 4K here (as shown by Disney) or are you seeing HD here, yet you still see a 4K resolution in the StreamFab dialog?

For me on Google TV, it shows “4K” in this area, so that’s my default playback resolution on that device.

However, in StreamFab (and any other web browser I check), this only shows “HD” as the default playback resolution, which is expected for browsers.

Under the title, I only see HD logo (because it’s in Chrome) in Details 4k (in DE+USA the same)

Thanks Germania - that at least confirms I’m starting out on equal footing with everyone else!

So this is baffling to me… If I’m reading the logs right, in analysis it’s seeing UHD segments, so I don’t understand why I’m not getting any options for 4K in the download dialog resolution field…I could be misreading the logs, though.

In my troubleshooting, I downloaded the lastest version from the site (after 6.2.6.1 was released), so I believed I had the latest version. And when I launch SF and click “check for update”, it confirms I have the latest. See image below.

Yet, as you discovered - which I didn’t even think to look at - SF is showing a different version in the logs and in “about”. See below.

Looks like I need to do a full uninstall, cleanup and reinstall, as something is hosed up here.

No idea why it’s reporting two different versions though.

your log says you ran 6260, maybe you installed 6261 in a different directory, I don’t know, what I know is what your log says… and it says 6260, also: there’s a version display right in front of you in the top left corner:-

Thanks @0xFeedBeef - I’m completely stymied by how this happened, and why SF “check for update” reports I’m current. I’ve spent (and wasted, for sure!) hours on and off this past week trying to troubleshoot this, and never even thought I had a corrupt install, which is clearly the case. I’m deleting anything and everything related to DVDFab and starting fresh… From now on I know when a new feature isn’t working for me, I know where to start: check the version. Lesson learned!!!

there’s no magic to the check- it simply looks at the version in your registry, you could install the latest one and run a ten-version previous, and the update check will tell you you’re running the latest one 😉
