This is fraud at this point, and the fact that this is being ignored by SF is just , well, it's bad on every single level. - HULU has been refusing to analyze properly for weeks now - Paramount + is _**still**_ not downloading 1080p , after _**months**_ of sitting around and waiting Customers have paid good money for these services, and, you're effectively ignoring those.... But hey, you just add new stuff, so that makes it cool right? FOCUS on the important things. Get things _**working**_ again.

Generally, they have provided solutions when there are solutions to be had.
Many of us just move on and get P+ via Amazon without any more drama. Paramount has never been particularly reliable via SF, so expecting it to be somehow magically fixed is perhaps unrealistic. Just saying the obvious as has been posted 100 times this year.

HULU will be “gone” by 2026, and they started transition in October, so you may have all kinds of issues with HULU “standalone” until fully integrated with Disney+ as paid addon to D+. SF cannot manage all the transient day to day issues there. HULU is essentially on fumes, so may or may not work as expected on daily basis. The “current” problems really started around the time of ALIEN EARTH. I’m much happier to have 4K D+ than broken, funky maybe works, maybe not 1080p on HULU while it dies a horrible death.

It’s always a good question for when provider x will be fixed. When it comes to a DRM related issue, it’s not like there is an exact number of things to try before they figure it out.

As far as Hulu (off topic) is concerned, it has been broken for much longer than Alien: Earth time frame. At least 4 months for some, longer for others.

Yep. Varies by locale, and the hops from your machine to the servers.
HULU working for me until I cancelled it Nov. 1 :)
But it’s always had on/off issues, just like Netflix, etc.

I’m kinda always surprised anything works at all these days.

I doubt it is as simple as grabbing the right manifest file or using the right url. But hey, who knows.

I would not have even suspected Hulu would work now.
I guess it takes time to get the things from Hulu over to just Disney+.
They still say by the beginning of 2026.

I do know that with Hulu, it depends on location.
There has not been an offer for a very long time in the US to get just Hulu.
When I found a trial, it only offered Disney+ with Hulu.

Now, Paramount+ is a different issue. It’s sad when you have to switch over to Amazon to get it.
I dread to find out what they are using to block streamfab this long.
I do wonder if it is that tough or if they’re just getting the info wrong?
It has been said several times that in some areas outside the US, you can get 1080p.

I just know how mad many were when Peacock, Amazon, and Netflix were stuck in 540. Including me.
I don’t see Netflix being offered on Amazon, but they did add Peacock.
But what if something goes wrong with Amazon as far as Paramount+, or any other subscription?

I looked on Amazon they don’t offer me anything but a 7-day trial on Paramount+. I do check.
I know to never get a trial via the direct Paramount+ website. It’s the same offer on their website 7-day trial.

I’ve had Peacock since Day 1 that it has been available in the US. I download at least 1 show every weekday and sometimes on the weekend. I’ve never seen Peacock “stuck in 540”. Nor do I remember the base service of Amazon being “stuck in 540” although it might have happened, especially in the very early days of SF. The 540 issue has always been a Netflix issue until recently with Paramount and Hulu (both of which I do not presently subscribe to, in any form).

I’ve gotten so used to 1080p everywhere, I freak out when downloading old show like Stargate SG1 season one and it’s some godawful 540 or maybe 720, and going, oh right, they have not yet AI upscaled that puppy to 4K yet. So, it’s still DVD quality, even when watching it. Doh.
