Here’s a FYI update on these two units. The Vantec Optical drive enclosure is FANTASTIC! It is a 10/10, and is built like a tank. Easy to install, but the screws are almost microscopic, and you don’t want to lose any. It even came with an extra one!
Our trusty LG drive, downgraded the firmware as described by people here, and people online. It did so without problems. It works just like it used to.
My Computer: It’s a 13th gen Intel, 13900K with a EVGA, FTW-3, 3080 GPU. MSI Meg Z690 Ace Motherboard, 64GB of DDR-5 Ram.
