tubi subtitles

tubi subtitles seem to be messed up in 6.2.6.3….for me, anyway….. i downloaded the same show using 6.2.6.1 and that seems to be ok….maybe it’s just me

I just now looked at another movie i got from tubi and the subtitles are messed up, and i think that one was downloaded with 6.2.6.1….so don’t know what’s happening….just thought i’d mention it anyway

I just tried the movie “The Mill Killers” (mp4 + srt) and it worked with 6263

I can’t say more without StreamFab.log and without title + settings

thanks…I will see if this subtitle thing keeps happening….maybe it’s just on my end…. when I open the movie in vlc and click on subtitles, sometimes there is no subtitle to choose and sometimes there are 10 or more to choose from, (i think they are all the same) and sometimes the subtitles seem to be from a different movie…so as i have time i will go thru the recent ones and for any foreign language ones, i might have to redo them. I thought maybe others might have the same issue but are not yet aware of it. I can try posting the log file if it keeps happening.

It is weird. I tried a few from movies from Tubi and srt seemed ok.
I wonder if it depends on movie or location?

I am going to open up a Pluto srt issue as I have issues with that site.

I guess if nobody else is having this problem, then it’s something on my end…I see that my copy of “Velociraptor Rampage” has 6 subtitle options listed when opening with vlc…when i try any one of the subtitles, i can see each of the subtitle options are the same, but they are all from a different movie. I upgraded streamfab to 6.2.6.5 on my laptop and when i chose Velociraptor Rampage in tubi, the movie would not play in streamfab. It would pop up as if starting to play, but then disappeared, leaving me with that smaller streamfab window that allows me to download it. That window offered the option of having no subtitle or one english subtitle. I chose english subtitle but when playing the movie i see the subtitle is from a different movie…I compared that subtitle to the copy that has 6 subtitle options, and i see they are from different movies. I then used streamfab 6.2.6.1 from a different computer. It didn’t give me any subtitle options and did not indicate that subtitles were even available but when it downloaded the movie it had the correct subtitle.
Anyway, that’s basically what’s happening. I don’t know how to get the subtitle as srt, as I don’t see that option when downloading a movie. I would have to look for the instructions on how to upload log files, but I guess it’s not that important so for now I’ll just keep trying to fix the foreign language subtitles. I seem to have better luck with 6.2.6.1

found the option to get srt files instead of mixing the subtitle into the movie, then tried a movie but it downloaded 6 srt files of the wrong movie then i deleted streamfab cache then restarted my computer…after that i was able to get the correct srt subtitle for the movie….guess i should have tried that first before posting here…so hopefully it is fixed now thanks

Not quite having that exact issue, but related Tubi subtitle weirdness (6.2.6.6). I was grabbing Season 4 of particular TV series, selected external .srt English subs for the season. While the episodes came down fine, the subtitle that came through for each episode was the same S04E01 srt subtitle (though program was properly renaming to S04E02, S04E03, etc). But every sub was the same “S04E01” sub. I ended up getting the subs I needed with ytdlp.

I ended up getting the subs I needed with ytdlp.

I tried that with both Tubi and Pluto, but yt-dlp gave me errors.
I think maybe I am too tired to keep trying.
Either I gave yt-dlp wrong links or info, I did try just using –list-subs

Although right now Tubi is getting srt, but I just try movies, Pluto is not.

for pluto subtitles, you need to use the “master.m3u8” to download the subtitles

I rarely download from Tubi but did experience a situation with Tubi where I downloaded 2 movie titles back to back and the first one had perfect subtitles, but the second one had subtitles from a different movie (and the subtitles weren’t from either of the movies I downloaded). I closed/reopened Tubi and re-downloaded the 2nd movie and this time the subtitles were good. (I should have reported it, but didn’t.)

Hi, Yes, I seem to be having the same problem. I’ve only recently been getting a few things from Tubi but I found after downloading one episode the subsequent episodes from a series had all the wrong subtitles (from the same show, but a different episode!). I tried clearing all the .srt files from the StreamFab cache without success. To get round it I had to revert to version 6.2.5.9 to fix the problem. Which means I’m running the older version of StreamFab on a second PC just to get stuff from Tubi. I just checked and the fault is still there on v. 6.2.6.6

There could be chance since they are series and episodes.

I don’t try them. Weird it goes back to 6259, but whatever works.
My most go version of SF is 6262, but not tried Tubi and shows with it.

so after downloading a movie from tubi, if i want to download another movie from tubi with correct subtitles i have to close streamfab, delete the streamfab cache folder, then open streamfab, and then log back into tubi…i’d rather not have to log in each time so after logging in to tubi and before doing anything else, i made a copy of the cache folder…so now after closing streamfab, instead of just deleting the cache folder, i replace the cache folder with that copy of the cache folder…i find it a bit easier to just replace the cache folder than to log in to tubi
