After upgrading to 6.2.6.4, the below NEWS dialog pops-up with a countdown for an exclusive upgrade to StreamFab 7, but clicking it doesn’t do anything for me.

Is SF 7 ready to release? And what does “Excusive Upgrade” mean - limited access to it by number of licenses? By time? Reduced cost? (hoping not, as I have “lifetime” with “future upgrades”)

Or maybe this is a typo in the banner…

Thanks @Stan001 and @Germania for the links. I’m reviewng but I’m confused. and hope you can walk mw through it, as this will be my first time using StreamFab as it transitions to a major new release..

I purchased StreamFab All-In-One Lifetime and added on the StreamFab New Products Guarantee when I bought it.

On the page linked above, it congratulates me for having All-In-One Lifetime, shows a price of $429.99 but there’s no “buy” button. Below that it shows the StreamFab New Products Guarantee with a price of $119.99 and has a BUY button on that card.

WIth the New Procuts Guarantee, I’m supposed to get the below:

Buy Once, Get New Products Forever
Free Lifetime Access to All Future Launches

My dashboard PRODUCTS page confirms I have it, and it never expires…

So given that StreamFab 7 is a future launch that I should get for free, why is the StreamFab 7 offer page saying I need to pay again for the New Products Guarantee?

Then you don’t need to buy anything - the price doesn’t matter.

When you open store.dvdfab.cn, it does not recognize what has already been purchased.

If I go to Member Center there is no “Exclusive Offer” ..
.. because all products show Never Expire

Current version of SF is only up to 6.2.x. Why the need to designate a new SF v7x? Because then any “Lifetime” purchases can be declared to only apply to the defunct version, which will then have it’s “Lifetime” ended.
Get ready for “Lifetime Upgrade” charges, “Version Upgrade” charges, and for those of us that don’t have any need for the FULL 100+ niche sites listed, probably $99 upgrades for each individual site downloader that we thought we’d already bought.
Don’t like that - buy the full product will be SF’s answer.

That question has been asked many times at companies that offer Lifetime Upgrades. Ultimately, if the company is above board, the answer is the lifetime of the company. If they go out of business or in the case of VideoReDo where the owner and lone programmer died, that is when the lifetime ends. In this case, StreamFab is an above board company. I purchased SF on Nov 8, 2021 when it was either series 4 or 5 (I forget which) and I have yet to not receive an update (usually one a week) since then, through series 4 (possibly) and series 5 & 6 (definitely). DVDFab, the company, has pissed me off from time to time with their policies and methods, but they have always honored their lifetime upgrade policy and I have no doubt that they will continue to do so with the series 7 upgrades and beyond.

Ok, so that’s good news I get SF7 for free, but then it seems there’s a bug on the Promo page:

When I’m not logged in to it, there are two BUY buttons: one in the ALL-IN-ONE card, and another in the NEW PRODUCT GUARANTEE card.
When I’m logged in to it, the BUY button disappears in the ALL-IN-ONE card (and it congratulates me for having it), but I still have a BUY button on the NEW PRODUCT GUARANTEE card. (Looking solely at teh Promo page, the implication is that I don’t ahve this entitlement, despite what my dashboard product page shows.)

Hope they can fixt the promo page, as this may confuse people (other than me) who also have an active upgrade entitlement.

Lifetime will always be in dispute. In general, a company can not survive if it offers only lifetime. If you look at the places that did, many converted to yearly. My issue is they need to reconsider, but you know none will.
For example, If a company offered lifetime between 2000 and 2010, anyone who purchased should be entitled to that. After that, the company surely is entitled to charge new users a yearly fee or a higher fee.
As a purchaser no I don’t like this fact, but look at so many that did try to stick to lifetime, they either went out of business or retitled their software and implemented a yearly fee.

Streamfab has already said for V7, there will not be an extra charge for any current user who purchased Streamfab.

StreamFab 6 has been released for almost 3 years, it’s time to start the development of StreamFab 7 this year!

Between the fact they know they can charge more because of the added 4K, and they knew about Streamfab 7, yes new purchasers are going to be hit with higher prices to buy.

This is related to this topic and I’m confused. Back in June 2025, I purchased Streamfab All-in-One at $149. I didn’t add the New Products Guarantee at the time but now want to add it. So, I click the button to get the NPG at $109.99 from the Black Friday sale, but the invoice before purchase comes to $229.98 because “Streamfab All-in-One” is priced at $109.99 is automatically added to the cart at the top, and when I click to remove it, it empties the whole shopping cart. Is there no way to purchase only the NPG without purchasing “Streamfab All-in-One” again?

@SteverB1 – You can try to purchase it from your member dashboard, but I don’t know if you’ll get the sale price.

Then look for Extended Services (bottom right) and click on the icon for the New Products Guarantee service. You may see a BUY NOW button, but again, not sure if you’ll get the sale price…

To get the NPG once Streamfab lifetime is purchased without it, there is NO option to buy it directly separately.
You might want to take a chance in the streamfab support center and ask if you can and how to buy it.
If it’s possible, and they agree, they can give you a link to buy it. Otherwise, I guess people are stuck.

I know it’s hard to be nice to them, but it can get you a long way with purchases, asking nicely.

I tried clicking on the icon that DarkSkies suggested, it still gave me the sale price, but I also get the message: “You can purchase the StreamFab New Products Guarantee after upgrading to the latest StreamFab All-in-One. It ensures that you can have future StreamFab products for free.” And that still leaves me with the $239 invoice. I guess I should have gotten the NPG with the StreamFab All-in-One when I had the chance. Lesson learned!

Your license will be same as now after upgrading to StreamFab 7, no need any extra cost.
The NPG service is base that you are have the latest StreamFab AIO, so that you can not order the NPG service only directly if you don’t have all of products, it must be order with upgrading to the latest StreamFab AIO.
StreamFab 7 is still in testing, but a beta version will be release in the week.
