Looks like it blocks CEF (Chromium Embedded Framework) .. .. All VdoCipher videos suddenly stopped working in StreamFab. I only get Error 2042 (“update this browser”), while the same videos play fine in normal Chrome.

This doesn’t seem to be a browser version issue. The real problem appears to be that VdoCipher now requires the latest Chrome Widevine CDM, which StreamFab is not updating or using correctly. Because of this, DRM fails in StreamFab but works in Chrome.

Germania I copied the latest Chrome Widevine CDM files from the Google installation directory into the StreamFab CEF directory and then restarted StreamFab.

After that, I checked the Widevine status using https://larley.dev/KeySystem/Check
, which correctly detected the current Chrome Widevine CDM.

VdoCipher videos are now able to play, but they still cannot be downloaded. StreamFab remains stuck at the “Analyzing” stage and does not start the download process.

Yeah, I see that now.
Wonder why they are not updating it? 138 to 143? Such a huge difference.
The ‘fake’ browser agent seems to have more effect than I thought, as no issues with Peacock or Netflix, yet.
I think even Twitch loaded?
And if the Screenshot below has any impact on that, or what will happen on the Jan 20th?

With current CDM in CEF you can play all in SF ..
.. but that doesn’t necessarily mean that SF get the keys > SD for all providers
