Forced Individual Analysis Broken?

Anyone else here notice that force analyzing has stopped with Peacock TV episodes? I finally did have to try version 7.006 to see if it was just me.

Refresher:
Add your show to My Stuff.
From My Stuff, click the show. SF will analyze.
Click cancel when the window pops up telling you what your download will consist of.
Go back into My Stuff and click the show again. Select the Season and episode you want. It will begin playing.
SF is supposed to analyze that episode, it usually plays back for 30 seconds or so before you get the download options window. Select the audio you want and hit download.

This last step, SF is no longer analyzing that episode any more. The video just plays. We have seen in the past when this suddenly works again a day later.

MrGrackle Confirming this is happening to me, so getting recent episodes of long running shows doesn’t provide good quality downloads. Ex. Law & Order SVU where it moved from AAC 2.0 to AC3 5.1 in more recent seasons.

This might be hit-or-miss based on title, but I was just able to get last night’s Saturday Night Live episode in 5.1 audio via a process similar to the OP steps:

Note: Settings > Auto-Analayze is enabled for me

Open Peackock
Click Search
Type SNL and search
Click Saturday Night Live (series, not the replay)
Auto-analysis begins - results have Season 1 Episode 1 pre-selected with only 2.0 audio available for all seasons
Cancel
Click on the More Info button for the SNL series
Navigate to Season 51, click on latest episode, 10, it starts playing
Auto-analysis dialog pops up after several seconds (20-30)
Season 51 Episode 10 is preselected
Audio shows 5.1

I have to

Play the most recent (the analyze dialog pops up for 1 second)
Click on More Episodes
Click on the PRIOR episode (current one won’t analyze)
Uncheck the wrong episode and check the one I want

It can be very tricky, but I somehow got it to do a later episode.
If trying, it will take close to 30 seconds, or more, to analyze.
I did close to what AnttDvdFab said.
But it really should not be that involved :/

IF SF WOULD HONOR THE DISABLING OF AUTO-ANALYZE, IT WOULD BE EASIER.

THERE IS ALSO STILL NO SECTION IN VIP SETTINGS FOR PEACOCK!!

Yeah, it kind of works, got it to do individual episodes myself.

If SF v7 had been rebuilt, that was to be fixed, but they only redid the UI.

Would even be nice for Peacock to honer auto analyze off.
Also, more sections in VIP to set settings for other VIP modules.
I sat this because Peacock still don’t have settings section in VIP settings.
And I am sure others are missing.

Peacock Announces Streaming Content with Dolby Vision 2

Peacock will be using Dolby Vision 2 before the end of this year. NBCUniversal has officially confirmed this in a press release. However, the exact date has not yet been specified. It is clear that the streaming service will initially equip upcoming blockbusters with the new HDR standard. It’s conceivable that older titles will then be upgraded gradually.

In addition, Peacock will switch to Dolby AC-4 for audio. This is the successor to AC-3 and will serve as the technical basis for Dolby Atmos soundtracks. The newer codec is not only more efficient but also more adaptable. Viewers and listeners can, for example, emphasize the dialogue in a mix without experiencing any loss of quality in the other sound elements.

Version 7007 seems to force analyze as before. Maybe something in the way it is detecting if an actual stream is playing or not. Unannounced fixes when new versions come out.

They could make bragging rights the more they say.
“Improvements in the way videos are detected on Peacock” or something like that.

This was a Peacock detection issue rather than a user workflow problem. Forced individual analysis stopped triggering because StreamFab was not reliably detecting an active episode stream. Version 7007 appears to restore the expected behavior, which suggests a backend or detection fix rather than a settings change. If it reoccurs, it should be reported with logs, but for now the issue seems resolved in 7007.

Force analysis is broken yet again. I updated to 7016 to see if it got an update. NOPE.
Try downloading a new episode of Law & Order with 5.1 audio. When you try to force it, you get the standard Error Analyzing Video , Make sure you have access to it.
Then you close the error and it analyzes the first season’s episode instead, giving you AAC 2.0.

HOWEVER. And this might be a fluke. The Continue Watching option might work for you. Is hit and miss.

I just tried the latest episode of Law and Order SVU on peacock and it downloaded perfectly fine using 7.1.0.4 and that’s with using both analyzing modes.

Running today, the “Continue Watching” screen seems to analyze correctly. As long as it is a season that offers 5.1 audio, you should be good if it is 5.1 audio you want.

MrGrackle Thanks! I was able to get my wife’s Law & Order episodes caught up using that approach!
