Why can't we add to queue while it is downloading?

I’m curious about why we can’t keep adding to a queue when it is downloading something in that queue.
Is there a hack? Like can I make a text file list or something and then add it to the queue when it becomes available?
Or maybe this has been addressed before and found to be impossible?

Just wondering if I should be putting this under Feature Request.

AFAIK this functionality was removed three years ago because it caused errors.
I can’t say whether this only affected individual providers
(token change), as it was before I first used SF 2.5 years ago.

You can if you want to add it as a feature request, it’s probably there, as it’s talked about in the vote post:

I have a feeling it may not happen.
When I use SF, and it starts the queue it has to analyze each download item and that then seems to disable analyzing and then adding to queue.

Yes. I believe i was first to report the issue. If you so happened to analyze something while StreamFab was starting its analysis of the next item to download, the downloading item would have the metadata of what you were trying to analyze. So, you download Captain America, but it is saved as New Girl Season 3 episode 5.

I was very annoyed that they simply removed the feature rather than fix it. There are countless ways to fix that easily, especially if your app is multi-threaded. The easiest one would have been to just disable all manual analysis while StreamFab does its automatic one and not start an automatic one while a manual one is running. It’s not rocket science

Thanks for the replies. That’s exactly what I wanted to know. Damn shame though.

Maybe I should ask for a different feature. If I’m downloading and I want to add to the queue, I wish there was a feature that said: Pause All Except currently downloading file. I want the file to finish, then pause so that I could add a new file to the queue. I hate having to stare at the screen until the current file is done before hitting “Pause All”.
