Youtube downloader doesn't work

The YouTube downloader doesn’t work. It just gets stuck on analyzing videos forever. I’ve tried both pasting links and navigating to links from the YouTube page in the Streamfab browser. If it does make it to the download section, the file says “the download file is empty”. I have tried logging out of my account and logging back in, but that doesn’t work.

Unless it’s possibly the Mac version, SF for Windows YT works, just had a post and uninstalling v7008 and installing again fixed it.

It failed when I logged in to my account, but worked fine when I tried without logging in.（windows OS)

Even with logs, SF has got crazy. Might help also to fully uninstall and then install 7008 again.
There were big changes in 7008.
But more detail would be needed, as I tried downloading from YouTube both logged out and logged in.
Maybe logged in your account is temp blocked by YT?
I have 3–4 backups for if that happens, plus most times I can get most videos with being logged out.
The only time it becomes an issue being logged out is if you want many videos and then YT does a bot check and forces one to log in.

I tried to download a playlist and I get this error. Download file is empty

A single file says Download but it does nothing.

I’ve uninstalled and reinstall and have the same problem.

I’m logged into YouTube.

Depending on the video, YT may or may not work.
No user can fix it in SF, the developer needs to fix it.

To clarify:

The problem persists even in version 7.0.0.9.

I performed a complete uninstall, including deep cleanup, and reinstalled the app from scratch.

I tried using it with and without a VPN, and with different servers in various countries.

Since some speculate that YouTube tracks the activity of logged-in users, I logged out of YouTube, but that didn’t work either. I even tried a completely different YouTube account, also without success.

It would be great if the developers could resolve this issue.

As stated, only the SF developer can fix it. No uninstalling or anything will fix YT.
They rush these updates out, 7009, with NO Amazon fix, NO YouTube fix, and NO Pluto fix.
And now 7009 has a new issue with the naming of files.
