Body: Hi everyone, I’m looking for some help with a persistent download error on my Mac.
[Problem Description] Whenever I try to download a YouTube video, I keep getting the following error message: unable to download video data: HTTP Error 403: Forbidden.
[My Environment]
OS: macOS [e.g., Sequoia 15.0]
Settings: Turbo-Speed is enabled (I’ve also tried disabling it, but it didn’t help).
[Troubleshooting Done (So far no luck):]
Full Reinstallation: I have already completely uninstalled and reinstalled the software on my Mac, but the issue persists.
Network Check: My proxy/VPN works fine for browsing YouTube in the browser.
Nodes: I’ve tried switching to different server locations, but the 403 error remains.
[Questions] Since a fresh reinstall didn’t fix it, could this be an outdated parser/core issue specifically on the Mac version? Or is there a macOS security setting (like Private Relay or Keychain permissions) that might be triggering this 403 block?
Any advice or workarounds would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
