7.0.1.2 fails to download H265 from Amazon only H264 is downloaded. Going to older versions does successfully download H265. Went to 7.0.0.6 and it was successful.

It's fixed in the new version 7014 this week. Wilson

I use 7012 daily for dl H265 from PrimeVideo - no issues ..
.. so name title and country for a test,
because some titles are not offered in H265

Blurayfan I downloaded s13e5 this morning and did specify H25 (my default) and I just checked Plex and can confirm it downloaded as H264, not H265. (Prior episodes were H265 Plex labels them “HEVC Main”.)

I have a Hallmark+ subscription, which is needed for this episode and prior episodes/seasons, but even though e6 is listed under s13, it’s only marked “Available to buy”, even for H+ subscribers.

Please note that SF <7008 use a different cache folder ..
.. so I’m pretty sure you need to clear the cache for 7012

Deleted cache had similar result where 7012 only would download H264 but 7006 was successful at H265

I just installed 7.0.0.8 and was successful downloading H265 but any later version H264 only.

I have the same issue. The earlier version allowed me to download in H265 but the new version wont. It only downloads in the much larger file size of H264. This is very annoying as I then have to reencode each episode to H265 which take 2.5 hours per episode. I would rather have the previous version installed than this “fixed” one. much less time consuming for me.

Having said that how do I acquire and install the previous version?

THE ONLY WAY FOR ANYONE TO EVEN ADDRESS THIS:

#1- A STREAMFAB.LOG WITH ONLY ONE TO TWO EPISODES OR ONE TO TWO MOVIES NOT DOWNLOADING IN H265.
#2- Location and specific Amazon site used. (I use amazon.com and in the USA.)
#3- FOR MEMBERS HERE THAT TRY TO HELP, IT NEEDS TO BE CONTENT INCLUDED IN PRIME MEMBERSHIP.
The only show mentioned here requires Hallmark+ or buy.

So far, because I can only pick shows and movies at random, I get H265 with 7012 from amazon.com
I am in the USA. So location or something else may matter.

ADDED: I found out that season 1 is included. Let me check that and test it.

Been downloading H265 of WCTH Series 13 each week from Amazon USA using whatever version of SF was current that week. Currently on SF 7.0.1.2 and grabbed S13E06 1080p.HEVC.Subs this morning with no problems.
It must be on your end or region location - Do upload logs for the gurus to look over

Blurayfan I think that because most of us do not have a H+ we cannot assist when we can’t access the content. As stated above, your best choice is to take this directly to SF by using the link above, or by choosing the “Feedback” option from the menu within SF. That will automatically upload logs.

I saw nothing in your log from above that stood out to me other than it just appeared to not find the encoding method you selected.
