It has never worked for me since my first attempt last November.

Unfortunately, support tickets are simply closed without any solution being proposed or even a follow-up enquiry.

Did you list the steps taken to resolve and upload the log file?
a) clear temp/cache folder
b) clean uninstall
c) install as admin
d) launch, login; close
e) login again, try download

If fail, upload the new smaller logfile showing errors here.
Start new post, listing what you did, along with log file.

I will perform a new installation.

Is it sufficient for the user to be a member of the administrator group, or does the installation have to be performed with ‘Run as administrator’?

I do install as admin simply because with certain apps that write a lot of temp files, you can sometimes run into permission issues.
