I am currently unable to download from HBO Max using either version 7.0.2.0 or 7.0.2.1. The download selection isn't triggered, and the orange download button in the right corner doesn't appear. It was working fine 4 hours ago (on 7.0.2.0). I have tested both versions. There are other reports of this issue on reddit as well, so it seems to be a bigger problem.

It looks exactly the same to me right now .. .. tested two different accounts on two different continents => same result - no analysis possible

It seems HBO Max made some changes; current or previous versions of v7 no longer analyze.

Same here. I haven't used it for a couple of updates. I'm running 7.0.2.1 on two machines and they both won't initiate the option to download. They just play the video like a normal browser.

It’s some variable or maybe variables, like location or other.
Too many reporting issues.

Screenshots, maybe any error codes and logs might help. Along with plan, and location.
HBO has Basic with Ads, Standard, and Premium. Only Premium comes with 4k according to HBO site in US.

I’ve tried now with all three plans (with ads, ad-free + Premium)
different countries in EU, in US and South America
using SF 7021/7020/7011 with and without Auto Analysis enabled.

It doesn’t work anywhere for me.

Clearing cache and relogin change also nothing.
And there was never an error in the log ..
.. otherwise I would have attached it.

Still will be unknown criteria as working for a handful of users but most users got no analyze option
The test download file has max token fix, in its name.

No analyze or like YT movies with endless analyze, logs usually show no clear issue(s)..
Good to see SF came with a quick fix for the issue.

I checked a HBO Max stream using Firefox developer tools. I noticed that the content type now appears to be MP4, and there are several new API host request URLs. I also used a Widevine L3 key guesser addon in Firefox, which previously worked with HBO Max and could detect PSSH and KID:KEY for the stream, but it no longer detects any Widevine stream on HBO Max. In Chrome, I can still see Widevine and PlayReady but i’m not sure if that is relevant. Based on this, I suspect there have been changes to the DRM or API, which might be causing the issue. Hope this helps a little, and thanks for your work!

Manually I get in Chrome the mpd and same keys like before ..
.. of course with L3 unchanged maximal 720p Keys.
It appears that only the URLs and names of the MPD files have changed.

And with PlayReady I get also the same FHD Keys as before

I have the Basic subscription with ads. US, if that’s relevant.

I downgraded from 7.0.2.1 back to 7.0.2.0 but still no analysis triggered.

Just installed the test version. Opened it up and went to go to HBO Max to download something. Happy to report that the analyze button is now clickable and when I click it I do get an episode list and the ability to download. So it seems like the issue of not being able to download has been fixed with this version. I am however still receiving a message saying that this content may not be available in 1080p but I assume that this is a known issue.

Then you probably selected H264, which is rarely offered by HBO in 1080p ..

An error remains, it is not possible to select their different modules such as DC, TLC, Discovery. Then auto analysis starts with an error message.

The Beta / Test Fix is working for me as well, sort of. I get one download. Or one add to queue. If I manually click Ready to Download button, it acts like it is going to download or add to queue but doesn’t. I then have to quit out, and relaunch, and then try again.
