When is the ITVX downloader being fixed please? I’m not going to buy it until I can use it

This is what I get when I click on ITVX (haven’t bought it yet) and if I click ok and try to click on anything on the page, nothing happens. I don’t want to spend money on the downloader while it’s not apparently working

Yes, you’re supposed to but I get that message every time I try to open the ITVX downloader.
I’m using the most recent version (not had an update notification so I assume it’s the most recent non-beta version?) 7.0.2.3

Germania When I click on ITVX in the VIP Services section I get the message above. When I click on anything, no analysis starts even when I click “watch now” 🙁
Guess I’ll just have to wait and see if they fix whatever issue they’re having in the future 🙂

Since it works for others too ..
.. I wouldn’t assume there’s a fix.

Either you use an ad blocker (possibly DNS server-based) ..
.. you can easily test it, if you can play it in a regular browser
or you are not logged in or you have a problem with cache/cookies

Please close SF, go to %AppData%\DVDFab\StreamFab\rootCachePath
and rename the cache directory - then re-login, close tab and try again

It plays fine in a regular browser, I have no ad-blocker installed and there’s no issue with cache or cookies as I tried what you suggested and it still won’t work. In fact, now whenever I try to get anything to work on ITVX, I get the following message event though I can play it perfectly well on my normal browser

As the initial error message I get says the SF team are working on a fix, I will wait for it to be fixed before I buy the downloader

I’ve never received this message from itvx while using SF,
and I haven’t seen any similar reports from other users on the forum either.

It would be helpful if you could attach your StreamFab.log
or at least mention the SF version and the title you were trying to play.

The SF message stating that it doesn’t work is from last year
and has never been confirmed in my experience
(see above and itvx topics from every month in this year)

Without logging in, I can’t watch even in a normal browser ..

Germania, I was reluctant to contribute to this thread because your attitude to every person who has a problem is so dismissive. I paid for the ITVX Downloader specifically (£50) and I had issues trying to download. I have posted my concerns and still you make a flippant comment as though everything always works (ie “obsolete”). The image I posted was when I was not logged in but I didn’t know that. You are not helpful when you seem to be nothing but an acolyte for this company.
I thought it didn’t work because the app logged me out of the the website without me knowing and the error msg I was confronted with does no service to anyone. It should ask if you are logged in not tell you there has been a change and we are trying to fix it!!

My version is 7.0.2.8

retail I can’t speak for @Germania , but generally anyone who writes “I have a problem, tell me how to fix it” without even bothering to attempt to do anything set out in https://forum.dvdfab.cn/d/433509-how-to-post-issues-in-the-streamfab-section frankly deserves attitude. For example, the log file literally tells us what is going on under SF’s bonnet as things happen… When people don’t bother to provide that (or even tell us what title they’re trying to download), how exactly is one supposed to help???

so my post was also edited and partially obsolete.

What is dismissive about that, when I confirming that you also
have to be logged in when using a regular browser?
That’s beyond my understanding.

Then look at how many people have already reported errors this year (here)
and every time I’ve checked it and never been able to confirm a problem.

I am still getting the message about working on a fix, had it for a while now. I was still able to download programs though until this morning. I am using Version 7.0.2.8 of StreamFab and the program is “The Vardys”. This message appears when it fails ‘Initialization of download information failed, please try again’ which I did. Still returned the same error. I am attaching the StreamFab log file to see if anyone can help or suggest to what I am doing wrong.

I can’t currently test ..
.. but first problem is: [CWV.ITV] accessToken is emtpy!

But you need a fresh Token to get dl ..

Please close SF, go to %AppData%\DVDFab\StreamFab\rootCachePath
and rename the cache directory - then re-login, close tab and try again
If it’s already in queue, please remove and readd to queue after fresh login

If this don’t help .. I’ll try after work (~ 7-8 hours)
