[Fixed in 7037] APPLE TV+ - FAILED TO OBTAIN ENCRYPTION KEY

Never had an issue before, but alas.

Tried downloading the latest episodes of Cape Fear, (S1E6) Star City (S1E6) and Sugar (S2E2)

All three analyze, end up in the queue and when I hit download, they all go to analyze and then fail; with the message:

“Failed to obtain encryption key please contact us for assistance”
I tried relaunching SF and logged in and out of ATV+. No joy.

This is on a windows 11 PC running SF 7.03.4

Any thoughts?

I can confirm that I am currently encountering the
same error with Cape Fear.s01e05 and your selection.

[Info]: [CWV.AppleTVv2] Get license data error,result is {"streaming-response":{"streaming-keys":[{"id":1, "status":-1020}], "version":1}} [Warning]: [appletv.download.task] [ERROR] onDownloadComplete: download failed status= 1 error= 307

same with “Movie Mode” (tested with 7034+7033) or HDR10 4k

Try again in some hours ..

btw: Getting manually SD Keys using widevine works fine for me

Since apparently all titles across all resolutions (including SD) are affected,
it can be assumed that there are issues with the PlayReady certificate.

This will likely be fixable on the SF server without requiring an SF update.

Consequently, “me too” comments are absolutely unnecessary

I am having to use 7033 as Certain videos in Paramount download in 4K UHD Dolby Vision and Do;by Atmos. When I downloaded 7034 it had revererted back, Apple TV + is failing to download because of a decryption key, anyone getting same.

Only the developer or SF Product Manager Wilson.Wang can know that ..
.. devs aren’t active on the forum and Wilson hasn’t commented on this.

As I already wrote in “Best Answer” I suspect the problem is on the SF server ..
.. in which case it would be unrelated to a new SF version
However, I can’t rule out the possibility that Apple has changed its API ..
.. in that case, an SF update might be necessary.

btw: You might get an answer faster if you contact support via the Feedback feature in SF
or by submitting a ticket in the members’ area.
