Your case and others seem to confirm that the issue isn’t specific to Rosetta or Apple Silicon after all. If the newer builds are also crashing within a minute on Intel Macs, while older versions remain stable, then it looks more like something was introduced in the recent Mac builds themselves.
I’ve been thinking about this a bit more, and I actually suspect now that the Intel version of 7.0.3.3 may still have been mostly fine, with only occasional crashes that didn’t make the app unusable for me. The really serious problems seem to have started with the HBO fix in 7.0.3.6 and continued with 7.0.3.7.
That might also explain why I had no major stability issues with the native Apple Silicon 7.0.3.3 test version. It doesn’t have the HBO fix yet but it works reliably for me and is dramatically faster and more responsive on top of that.
So I’m starting to wonder whether this is a broader regression introduced in the Intel Mac builds around the HBO fix, rather than a Rosetta-specific problem. Maybe others can chime in and say whether this matches their experience.
