[7038+] Purchases+Channels on ATV unable to get HDR/DoVi streams

7.0.3.8 has issue with Paramount+ titles through Apple TV only finding H265 SDR.
Not HDR10+ or Dolby Vision while 7.0.3.7 Finds all including HDR10+ and Dolby Vision.

Are you sure this has to do with “New Download Engine Beta Released” ?
Do the analysis results differ with the 7038 release version ?

No difference in the regular 7.0.3.8 or the New Beta Engine. It seems to be a 7.0.3.8 issue.

I think Paramount changed something on their titles that 70.3.8 of SF does not account for.

Yes, purchases are also affected on 7.0.3.8 (macOS, Apple Silicon version). I just wanted to post this in the thread I started about this issue a few days ago. H265 ffmpeg downloads only work up to 4K SDR quality. HDR10+ and Dolby Vision don’t entirely work.

A HDR10+ download only gave me the film’s audio + separate subtitles (complete)
Two Dolby Vision downloads only gave me an empty 0 KB file + separate subtitles (complete)

No error messages during any of the steps. Downloading, processing and remuxing went through completely.

nicwood Did another test with MKVToolnix instead of ffmpeg and it worked for H265 4K Dolby Vision. So it’s clearly still an issue with ffmpeg as in the last couple of SF versions.

I tested and 7.0.3.5 analyzes the HDR10+ and Dolby Vision, but has encryption key not found error. 7.0.3.7 and 7.0.3.8 have the key found but only download SDR.

Blurayfan try 7040, I’ve tested it with a purchased movie, and it seems to be getting the 4K DoVi stream for that just fine…

Still an issue in 7.0.3.8 (Apple Silicon version) but now Apple TV downloads are even worse:

H265 ffmpeg downloads only work up to 4K SDR quality any more. HDR10+ doesn’t work properly and Dolby Vision doesn’t work at all. No error messages of any kind. (MKVToolnix setting is unaffected by this.)

In two other examples that did download and finish using ffmpeg (both H265 4K SDR), the films’ audio AND subtitles abruptly cut off a few minutes before the beginning of the end credits. The films are “Benediction” and “Occupied City” (Apple Store USA) and their subtitle files are attached. The latter film runs 04:10:00 minutes and audio + subtitles cut off at roughly 03:57:00 and the former 02:17:00 with audio and subtitles working up until 02:10:43.

Please investigate. Thanks in advance!
