Blurayfan what happens if you analyse it twice (hit cancel when the first dialogue box comes up with download options, then go to the address bar, don’t change the URL but just hit enter)? That seems to work around the ATV series SF “can’t” analyse, just found it by sheer accident…

0xFeedBeef Did as stated and have the same result for that title. Did a title from 80s which was successful.

Blurayfan can you start SF, open the ATV downloader, delete streamfab.log, analyse the failing title, then attach streamfab.log that gets produced just as the result of the analysis with 7040?

Hi all,

I’ve been experiencing an issue on the last couple versions of SF with some of my purchased ATV content, this will be hard for others to reproduce I feel as it will require ownership of it, but just seeing if anyone has been noticing the same.

On Season 3 of the show Stargirl, and S01E01 of iCarly I’ve been seeing this error popup, on the movie “The Naked Gun (2025)”, I’ve also been seeing this issue as well. I’m wondering if a change has occured with Apple’s decryption this past week.

ATV+ content seems to work fine, downloads with DV and HDR10+, just having problems with my purchased content.

smichaelis0104 I have had this issue on a few purchased movies, retrying the video in question is usually successful.

Blurayfan Worked for a few episodes, hit retry 9 times and eventually pushed through, doesnt seem to work on the final 2 episodes of this Stargirl season.

0xFeedBeef I had also said that retrying didn’t work every time. I’d appreciate not having my thread hijacked in the future, I will submit a ticket next time, but I was looking for genuine help or other users who would be able to recreate the issue or see what the issue could be.

smichaelis0104 it’s a 7038 issue, you’re looking for an exception in a pattern, you won’t find one, there’s nothing to replicate as the pattern is predictable as the thread shows, the problem is more pronounced with 7040 because of the new engine

Just ran into this today on 7.0.4.0 with Grogu. Figured it was a new purchase issue.

Brand new purchase fails to acquire decryption key with Apple TV using 7.0.4.0, tried downgrading to first version that supported purchases with same results.

You say that as though 7038 works? Reason for asking: is it an API issue, general key issue, or new purchases key issue…

0xFeedBeef I have downgraded versions trying each til reaching the first purchase supporting version each having the same error, movie in question is the new Mortal Kombat II which Fandango currently has on sale.
