An Apple TV Original Movie fails to get Decryption Key. Since it is an Apple TV movie I am going to try an older version an see the result.

It doesn’t work at all on any version anymore, regardless of it being a new purchase. If it is a purchased item, it will no longer be able to be downloaded anymore.

I went back to 7.0.0.1 and had the same error appear. Apple has to had changed something that SF is not updated for.

Blurayfan I had made a post about it yesterday when I noticed, but 0xFeedBeef insisted it had something to do with new engine when it was clearly related to Apple changing decryption. I had noticed it a couple times a few days ago when I had a few failures, but retrying it worked, now it looks like Apple must of fully reworked it as it won’t work with any downloads what so ever.

Blurayfan you can just keep each version in its own directory btw, don’t need to downgrade each time when you want to experiment:

smichaelis0104 you literally said SF downloaded fine after a few retries, and only two purchased things couldn’t be downloaded. 🙄

A car can fail to start for many reasons, one of them being a flat battery, another that you have no fuel in the tank… just because you fall foul of one, doesn’t imply the other

Older titles are downloading, only the newer content is failing.

0xFeedBeef I am only downloading these titles because they offer better quality than I previously had, for example the latest download went from 8.31 GB to 23.2 GB.

I was able to download Lukky s01e03, The Drama and The Mandalorian and Grogu from Apple TV Germany today. Yesterday I got the encryption key error as well. So it seems it was an Apple issue.

Sudopian After reading your post I retried Mortal Kombat II which was successful, now doing the other titles again.

I have retried the failing downloads and was successful on some, the ones that had issues are paramount titles.

Blurayfan Did you ever find a resolution to your Paramount+ HDR/Dovi channel issue? I was looking at subscribing for a month through Apple to get the higher bitrate for Avatar and a few other things.

smichaelis0104 Paramount+ have not been corrected on apple tv downloads yet.

Unfortunately 7.0.4.2 does not include a fix to this issue.

Blurayfan 7.0.3.5 had success on 8 out of the 10 episodes of Dutton Ranch but as you were saying, decryption key not found for 2 of them. Sucks as the bitrate is substantially higher for ATV paramount channel compared to paramount+ directly, hoping they resolve that soon.
