I didn’t see the Video Codec change I mentioned in the post you referred to. Need to forgive an 80 year old beat up combat veteran. I was trying to help. I have been a customer for many years with many products including the ill-fated Media Server back in 2017 (Wilson may remember my inputs and efforts). Perhaps it is coincidence with older titles, but if it is a hard failure with older titles and changing the codec selection allows the download when H265 is a continued failure, it might help someone. If I find a title after Aug 06, 2026 that I want to D/L I’ll try it. Otherwise, I won’t bother the board with any further input.

hope to be in correct thread…..on Amazon Prime (europe-italy) I’m having problems with some Top Gear episodes (they were added to Amazon Prime yesterday, so they’re “new”). For some titles, I get the message “Unable to obtain decryption key, contact support.” The problems are with episodes that Amazon has listed as “Extras”:

Season 15 Extras: East Coast Road Trip
Season 16 Extras: Middle East Special
Season 19 Extras: Africa Special pt 1 and Africa Special pt 2
Season 21 Extras: Patagonia Special pt 1 and Patagonia Special pt 2
Season 21 Extras: Burma Spcial pt 1 and Burma Spcial pt 2

I got the ‘need to update stripe’ when trying to download ’The Devils Mouth" – but gave it a minute and then it did analyze, and properly downlload. US, no VPN, GoogleDNS, full legal no ads, UHD account. Granted the film was released last week, so may be “before the wall of errors” period. Also, a british tv series downloaded okay, too. So, weirdness may vary. Just some more piling on to the conversation; apologies if not useful in any way :-)

Tried 7.0.4.0, 7.0.4.2, & 7.0.4.3 . All three gave the out-of-date browser message.

Tried to download “Ocean to Sky”, newly added to Amazon but a 2019 film.
Tried to download something randomly picked in “Audio Only”.
Got “failed to get decryption key” for both items in every release.

It’s not an error in current release ..
.. all have the same outdated Widevine - so it changes nothing ..

I downloaded a movie from Amazon that gave the browser is too old message on 7.0.4.3, but the program successfully analyzed and downloaded the movie.

I’m downloading all 6 seasons of Grimm from Prime. Everything downloads without issue except 3 episodes in season 4: Episode 1, Episode 16, and Episode 19. For all three of those, StreamFab analyzes the file and fails without downloading it, giving the error message ’Failed to obtain decryption key, please contact us for assistance.
