Have you tried the normal processes
a) uninstall old version
b) clear temp/cache folder
c) new install as admin
d) restart PC
e) launch MF
f) try download from PRIME
g) may need to log out, then log back in to PRIME
h) retry

Worth a try. You can also try changing your DNS to GoogleDNS or Cloudflare if using ISP DNS.
You can also try simple repair of permissions on Windows, running terminal as admin, then running SFC /scannow.

No chance! I’ve tried everything; it’s not working for me here in Germany, and apparently, I’m not the only one. That means more waiting. It seems like what we users were actually testing was the beta version.

MusicFab will not start.

When I launch MusicFab, I get the splash screen for a moment and then the application exits.

The log shows the following fatal CEF error:

[0821/103804.762:FATAL:H:\project\cef\cef_binary_142.0.10+g29548e2+chromium-142.0.7444.135_windows64\libcef_dll\ctocpp\command_line_ctocpp.cc:25] Check failed: !strcmp(api_hash, CEF_API_HASH_PLATFORM). API hashes for libcef and libcef_dll_wrapper do not match.

This appears to indicate that the Chromium Embedded Framework files included with MusicFab do not match, specifically libcef and libcef_dll_wrapper.

I have already uninstalled and reinstalled MusicFab, but the problem remains.

Are you using the alrternate version noted in the thread?
The version top of forum has a compile error, and will exit on the connecting to server screen.

Don’t use the setup file from dvdfab.cn. Instead use the one from musicfab.org:

Bei mir ist es auch so. Ich wähle mir ein Album aus. Wenn ich darauf geklickt habe, geht ein neues Fenster mit der Auflistung der Songs auf. Der Analyse Button ist grün. Mit diesem Button kann ich nichts machen, obwohl dort steht: Klicken sie zur Analyse.

US user on Windows 11, current with updates. For me the app was failing at the download analyzing step, not the green button problem

v1.0.73 installed and launched fine.

On Amazon, the green button worked and I went into the playlist and chose the version.

Downloading without a problem at this point. I have been able to get some downloads since the recent troubles, but often only 1 track per album. Also, I have recently noticed that some tracks were having problems on playback - this was in the week or so preceding the latest hiccups.

The link posted earlier works for me, too.
Unfortunately, all the songs already listed disappear.
I reinstalled the old version, and all the listed songs were back.
I noted the songs, installed the new version, reloaded the songs, and it works.

It has existed two different installers for MusicFab for a long time.

I’m not 100% sure why two different installers exist, but my personal guess is that the company (DVDFab) wants to track if users are downloading the installer from the separate “smaller” site musicfab.org or the “big” site dvdfab.cn.

Also StreamFab and RecordFab have two different installers. But UniFab have the exact same installer, no matter if you download it from unifab.ai or dvdfab.cn.
