So when moving through video files I may need to fast forward a great deal (lack of chapters/whatever) and if going beyond the 4x speed their are no changes to the video picture on the screen. Is their some way to have this refresh properly so users can have some clue where in the video they are besides the timeline?

When going that fast it doesn't have time to paint the frame before it moves on. Probably nothing to be done with your setup.How to post the internal log
