We've had no update on this for a long time. Any news?
Given that I'm unable to sign into Google Playstore I am unable to install any apps at all

I have a question...does the Playstore even have any apps that run on Android 5.1.1? I have a projector that has Android 5.1.1 also and it can't log onto the Playstore either. Seems to me that logon authentication and app development is way past the point of maintaining a code base for backwards compatibility to a point, my phone is at Android 11.
