DVDFab (UI/General) Splitting a file

Have just updated to latest version and want to split to two discs, the only problem is the amount on the first disc is too big leaving a dribble for second disc but software is not being helpful, all I want to do is put 7 files on one disc and 6 six on another but software decides to put too much on first disc for it to have to be shrunk by software to fit and virtually nothing on the second disc and I don't appear to be able to move some to second disc have looked for a help guide but not found one yet.
Would be grateful for a thought or three or a guide to splitting in new software please.
