    Video Converter MKV Support

Currently the DVDFab converter does not support input of MKV ... a rather, popular format ...

It would be practical/useful to have support for such a file format.

    Ref: http://www.dvdfab.com/video-converter.htm

Mentions the ability to convert from and convert to MKV files... but unfortunately, the current version of DVDFAB refuse to load any MKV formats... have the support been removed?

I am loading in the file itself by dragging and dropping into the folder. Also tried the + sign to add the MKVs. Not working.

You need to update to 9125 that's a older version.Drop the file into fab.

Ok, I updated to the current version. This time, instead of showing the processing menu then disappears, it just keeps the "No circle" sign, saying MKVs are cannot be drag-and-dropped. Drag and drop of MKVs have been removed in the newest version ..

so.. I clicked the plus and picked the file. The processing menu shows, then nothing happens.

In short, the newest version removed drag-and-drop MKV support, and still does not allow you to add via plus button.

If removing MKV support wasn't intended, I can provide the MKV file to someone at the company ... if not, I will need to see about up/down grading to version 8 to see if support is in that version line

Hmm, form rejected my last edit ... trying again ...

This could be a DVDFab / Windows 8 64bit combination bug/issue. I've ran across some applications that had features not working when ran in Windows 8. This might be one of those.

Hi Osi, does the location path of your mkv files or the name contain any non-English wide character? If yes, please make sure to change them to English then try again. If still doesn't work, please post your internal log here. Thanks.

Hello. I was wondering if MKV will be supported in a future release?

I have a bunch of MKVs I've created for my media player using different software and methods, most will load into converter but some will not. All play fine so I think it has something to do with the construct of the MKV, some parameter out of acceptable range for conversion.
