I used a friend's portable DVD drive with DVDFab - got strange error messages. I found that the drive was set for the wrong region, was set for Region 2 for Europe, should have had Region 1 for USA. Can DVDFab check for incorrect region setting on the drive before issuing cryptic messages?

Please tell us more details for your problem.
The Region 1 DVD disc also can be read by the region 2 DVD drive in Winodws, but it could not playback on PowerDVD directly (DVD Drive region).
DVDFab and Passkey can copy the region 1 disc to region free, not related with the DVD drive's region setting.
WilsonPlease post your logs the default location is:
For DVDFab 13: C:\Users\User Name\My Documents\DVDFab\DVDFab13\Log
For StreamFab: C:\Users\User Name\My Documents\DVDFab\StreamFab\log
