DVDFab (UI/General) Screen recorder for Windows

I just noticed a screen recorder program for Apple but (apparently) not for Windows. Seems odd. Am I missing something?

Isn't the VLC media player capable to do such job?

Maybe I should start over. I'm interested in recording streamed videos to my HDD. The DVDFAB screen recorder appears to do that for Apple products but not Windows products. Is there some facet of DVDFAB that has this capability. I've used VLC player for many years and have never been aware of any such capability but I could be wrong.

Try vlc screen recorder with Google. One of the first results is a "How To" in my search.

That appears to be a useful tool for making things like instructional videos on your desktop but I see nothing to indicate it will make a copy of streamed video. I do thank you for informing me of this.
