If you can find my zigzags that's a good start

but on the serious side......do you know a band that can come play?

Rip I honestly don't have any suggestions (sorry). I always used to have just a few friends/family over and have a big dinner together, afterwards have a few beers and catch up.

Ipods are like little techy fads that change like you underwear. When it comes to certain things, I like my low tech just the way it is. Yeah why did I agree to this party planning. Afew beers sounds like a good idea though.

            Vodka Jellies

Have you thought of Vodka jellies?

Warm and use Vodka instead of water, dissolve the jelly crystals in it and set them in cupcake paper moulds. make red and green ones to be in keeping with the season.

They just slide down the throat and certainly gets a party zinging !!!

GregiBoy that sounds like a good idea. Forget new years eve I think a trip to the liquor store is in order. I have a drink for you if you can find the ingredients to it. 3 years ago I went to my friends place for a new years eve / house warming party. The theme was Tropical and your drinks and atire had to match. She had a wet'n'wild banana slide running through her living room. We had races. (Like big kids do) I had a drink called a Yellow bird. It was amazing. I felt my toes buzzing for pete sake. Anyone ever hear anything like that? It's some tropical drink that you get when you go down south to Barbados or something like that. I google it and I get a sesame street character.

Hey rip, I googled it and just added mixed drink.
No wonder it buzzed your toes...
Apparently, there is a rather extensive free hand re: ingredients...
                Here are a few varieties:

                Yellow Bird #1
                1 1/2 oz. Gold Rum
                1/2 oz. Galliano
                1/2 oz. Triple Sec
                1/2 oz. Lime Juice

Combine ingredients in a shaker filled with ice, shake and pour into an old fashioned glass filled with ice.

                Yellow Bird #2

                1 oz. Light Rum
                1/4 oz. Galliano
                1/4 oz. Creme de Banana
                2 oz. Pineapple Juice
                2 oz. Orange Juice

Combine ingredients in a highball glass filled with ice and stir.

                Yellow Bird #3

                •3/4 oz. Brandy, apricot
                •3/4 oz. Liqueur, banana
                •3/4 oz. Rum, coconut
                •4 oz. Orange Juice

                Mixing Instructions
Shake everything with ice and pour into highball glass.

                Yellow Bird #4

                •151 Proof Rum
                •Galliano
                •Vodka
                •Sour Mix

                Quantities for one drink:
•1 oz Bacardi 151 Proof Rum
                •0.5 oz Galliano
                •0.5 oz Vodka
                •4 oz Sour Mix

                Blending Instructions:
•Pour all the alcoholic ingredients in a highball glass, Stir Sour mix in a mixer and fill the glass

The wet & wild banana slide sounds interesting...
                Have fun!

Thanks Maineman, I believe I had # 2 Nice catch with the google was overly multitasked that day. I think that and the vodka jellies would have them sleeping before the ball drops.
