    Software MALWARE warning

My copy of IMGBURN (downloaded from the Imgburn site) had this file PE_SALITY.USAV0109
that was identified by my TrendMicro Internet Security software as Malware.
    and removed it automatically,
I have not used Imgburn in over a month and have had it installed on my laptop for over 8 months without the antivirus ever catching it.
Just updated my antivirus with a new 2012 version and it found it.

May have been lurking there all the time???

Just thought i would post this as a FYI

    Hi seafarer
    This is a false positive.
See post from from Lightning UK! the developer of ImgBurn http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?s...dpost&p=138427

      Problem fixed

Contacted Trend directly and reported the offending file name. They promptly advised that a new update, once installed, would fix the problem.
I updated my Trend and problem solved.
Funny that it took such a short time to solve my problem (as others with Trend) . Did they already know of the issue and just didn't do anything about it hoping no one would complain?

      Just a thought.

        Hi seafarer
They may have already known of the problem as I stated and a fix was on the way.
It is what it is a "false positive".
