Oh yeah. ..not as far inland as your "bootheel"..., but plenty far enough.
I'm way up in the northwest corner of SC.

Google map Lake Jocassee. I sit pretty high up in the Blue Ridge foothills about 1 1/2 miles from the lake (as the crow flies).

Ready for summer to end. Too long and too hot.

In the 60's overnight now...Whew!!!

Sure could use some rain though

This was my first summer down here and everyone says, it's never hot this long.
Hope this doesn't portend any future seasons.
